Sheesh already he just a little kid...put this on the already loooong list of ridiculousness.

They just taught the kids what they need to do if they want a day off from school. Must the pendulum swings to extremes.

He should go back to school and accuse the teachers and Principle of molesting him with their eyes every day, making him uncomfortable...

Note that the child and the mother were requested to have the behavior several times prior to the child being suspended. After the first 3 or 4 times and the behavior continued what did you want the school to do? I agree it is a VERY STUPID thing to get upset about, but if someone requests that you stop a certain behavior several times and you don't do anything to stop it I have no empathy.



Again, see above. The child was told to stop this behavior several times and the child continued the behavior.

Everyone bitches that the schools are unruly and discipline is not enforced, yada, yada, yada but when the schools do finally enforce a rule (albeit, I agree that such a simple gesture is a stupid rule) everyone gets their panties in a wad.

My kids would not have been offended or scared by such a gesture nor would I have been, but there is probably some pantywaist liberal parent who teaches their child to get offended or scared by the slightest gesture that pushed the issue.

Bottom line is...the mom did not do her job to have her child stop making such a gesture at school.

If it were my child, after the first warning I would have told him that there are some people who like to cry about anything and everything, the teacher/principle has asked that you not make that gesture. If you do it again you can't ride your bike (or another appropriate ban on the child's favorite toy). Second time, he was warned I would have sat down with him and had him write an apology letter and banned another toy.

Bingo.

They also think it's ok when they send men with guns to your house.

This is ridiculous. I am glad I grew up in the 50s and 60s...Hell we had cap guns and bb guns and knives etc. I would be in prison today for one tenth the crap we did. Kids are going to end up as little gutless wimps.

What if there was a shotgun up his sleeve? Ever think of that? Can't be too careful in a post 9/11 world. They should give his parents the death penalty.
