If you knew you were going to die of cancer, would you work right up until the day you got sick? Hell NO! Quitting work as soon as possible and living life to the full every single day would NEVER be regretted.

I would think the guy doesn't feel bad at all bad about going too soon. He can just be thankful that he has had all of this extra time to be with his family. They have had that many more birthdays and anniversary and special family occasions with the comforts and luxury of existing civilization than he feared.

Hopefully they went on vacations and did many things that they had always wished they could do but his work was too buys. Hopefully the kids got pulled out of the public swchool system and thrived under a homeschooling environment with the opportunity to spend time with their parents. The doom will come all too soon enough.

I work for a NASA contractor and handle the video conferencing sessions between JSC and other facilities. Everybody always wants to see a link. Well, everything talked about in these vc's is top secret - so there's obviously not a link. I love my family and need my job so I'm not gonna tell you much that would endanger those either. I work for Boeing. All I can tell you is there is a LOT of interesting shit happening. The moon is NOT crashing - but it doesn't need to. There is a reason so many are sending birds up to watch the Sun - and it's not cause we just would like to know more about the Sun.

I am NOT trying to survive a moon crash - that one was funny. Not even an asteroid, becuase to many variables. I am learning how to adjust to a lack of electrons in house wiring for some time.

We have been talking about EQ's because some of our US facilities are in areas which have the possibility of serious involvement. NASA and others do not yet understand the current trend in EQ's.

Now why would the National Aeronautics and Space Agency be concerning themselves with trying to understand current trends in earthquakes?

This OP, a NASA contractor, states this matter-of-factly, indicating that not only does he know that NASA has been studying quake activity, but also knows that NASA is confused by the data they are examining.

Now, the question that pops up in my head is, what authority determined that our SPACE AGENCY should be asked to study earthquake activity on Earth? Why did that authority conclude that our Space Agency might be able to explain questions they had about current trends in quake activity on earth?
