[link to money.cnn.com] NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- If President Obama's 2011 budget were put into effect as proposed, the U.S. federal government would add an estimated $9.8 trillion to the country's accrued debt over the next decade, according to a preliminary analysis from the Congressional Budget Office. Of that amount, an estimated $5.6 trillion will be in interest alone.

Since the 70s the national debt has doubled every decade it's the only thing that really kept the American economy ticking over all that time. The only thing that is keeping us from that right now is only the ubiquity of the US Dollar. They have to reduce their budget while we get to increase ours at a record rate.
