We are heading into a deflationary period. But the amount of wealth destruction that is occurring will allow the Fed to print what ever money is needed without causing inflation. I think not honoring FDIC obligations would prove much too violent to even consider. A few rich people with guns would be much better than millions of people with guns.

there's ALWAYS some hat trick the controllers come up with, some 'stick save', that averts disaster. that's their stock and trade. the system can be reinvented to accomodate almost any set of economic parameters without collapsing, because there are few if any ground rules.

and that's something that bob chapman doesn't seem to understand...though gerald celente seems to be getting it lately.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Sun doom IS more relevant and they know it. They will keep up this "look over hear at our major health care problems and debt issues" till the bitter end!
