UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE: Distraught 9 Year Old Girl In Detroit Calls 911 Pleading For Her Dying Mother! (Dispatcher Hanging Up On The Child)

Don't bother calling 911, call the fire department directly instead, they're obligated to come. Even if someone is breaking into your home, call the fire department first.

Having done a few jobs at a 911 center, they're lazy and not even prepared for their own emergencies (like a power failure).

the really fucked up part is that both her parents got shot yet only the mother is still alive. the girl realizes that and even tells the dispatcher that she is bleeding from her head but still breathing. i mean come on... this is just beyond me how something like this can possibly happen where a dispatcher just hangs up on a traumatized child.

If you have an IQ above 80 you will realize that this was a prank call by a young kid. Listening to the whole audio sample you can detect that the variation of the kid's rate of talking changed drastically as more question are being asked. If you have something rehearsed but are questioned constantly you need to come up with many answers. This is what happened. And the 911 responder realized that this was a bullshit call. Notice the hesitation when he is asked about who is in the background talking. He says its his sister who is 6 years old. Also towards the end of this audio clip when the kid talks about his dad being dead and his mom being shot in the head, there is absolutely no panic or any audible signs of distraught in the kid calling 911. When being asked about where he lives hes is all screaming and panting. But he quickly corrects the woman when she asked him to speak to his dad. Notice the way he says my dad is dead and mom is alive. This to me smells like bullshit.

WTF? The dispatcher manages to start to get an address out of the child and then she just stops and changes the subject.

After listening to this call I cannot find anything that would lead me to believe this was a hoax - it makes sense that if your in someone elses house you will not know the address - especially if you are a child. I remember when I was a child being taken to places I had no idea of their address by my parents. They would just say 'Well we are going to Bob's place' for example.

In addition, my understanding is that with modern telecommunications they can trace the location of the call anyway. I have heard several 911 calls where the dispatcher actually saids this.

Everyone will dislike this answer but I think it's true: the dispatchers gets mentally fucked up from taking these calls and eventually they can't empathize anymore whatsoever and will look for any excuse to end the traumatic conversation with crying, desperate callers.

This is why I will die trying to save my family before I ever bother to call for help from someone else. I don't ttrust the "system" to defend me. Or help me if I am bleeding to death.

Not unusual at all. They have to get all the information before they can commit equipment and manpower.
Many years ago...My father shot my brother, he shot me, and he shot himself. I survived. Called for emergency while I bled all over the phone and had to play 20 questions with the incredible bitch. When the ambulance got there, the driver held up for what seemed like forever demanding to know who was going to be responsible for the bill.

sadly the kids in that area had learn to prack call 911 so very often that police dispathchers have a hard time figuring the legit calls from prank calls.... the community is directly responsible for the constant deadly deliquent behavior of thier very own youth . . and the consequences of the thier own crummy constant smart ass behavior.. those areas need to clean up thier discusting ways and they all know it.. but nothing improves in them crummy zones.. except they get boarded up one day ..

My parents had a police scanner and I remember one day there was a 911 call, a bad multi-car accident.. fire and rescue were hauling ass to peel the victims off the road.

The dispatcher left her mike open and was laughing, sounded like she was flirting with someone in the office. Lots of chatter and giggling.

One of the deputies came on the radio and tried to tell her the mike was open, but she wasn't listening. They weren't even able to relay info because she was so busy cackling and giggling.

She was interruoted by someone informing her that she was making an ass of herself. The mike clicked off.

Few seconds later she went back on the radio and was actually was snotty and rude to the officers and rescue people.

I hope they fired her, I really do.

what makes you think the kid was at home when it happened? So why does she have to be stupid cause she didn't know where she was. Even if she was home, when you just see that kind of traumatizing stuff going with your own family WHO CAN THINK STRAIT? Especially a 9 yr old....

my son accidentally called 911 last week, i didnt even know until i checked my voicemail a couple days ago and had a message that said if it was an emergency i need to call back....

The little girl wasn't home when it happened, they were visiting someone. That's why she didn't know where she was. The man wasn't her dad it was her mom's boyfriend that's why she wasn't as upset as she was about her mom. This is truly a sad story. I feel bad for both the little girls.
