Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
Pecking early in the morning. Why?

Nothing i can do.

Once i heard a story about a elderly Chinese Priest in San Francisco, Ca who use to sleep during the Masses. He couldn't help it b/c he was tortured by the Chinese Commies. One of the tortues was that the deprivation of sleep. When he dozed off, they would cruely flog and hit him. So a bird would peck at his window like a warning to notify him that the guards were coming. So the bird woke him up and saved him from harsher beatings.

Getting back to my case why would a bird want to peck at a window?

Nah, kinda warm.

Been doing this for a while.

Some other birds peck at different windows.

Like they each have a window.

But this morning was Pecking Panic, just kept goingggggggg.

I had this about five years ago. A pair of cardinals constantly pecked at my windows. Even going so far as to follow me room to room. It was constant all day for weeks. I have since attached some meaning to it. It boggled my mind at the time. What kind of birds are doing the pecking?

Some birds do this a territorial thing when they see their reflection in the window and think its another bird. Very common in the spring.

Sparrows and finches.

Plus, found a dead bird this morning near the basketball poll, i think he hit the clear plastic backboard. Neck was probably broken.

Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
When this happened to me, i also posted here. Many were saying they were animal totems and i looked into what the cardinal signified as a a totem. Found some insight there. I took the bright red cardinal as a warning and coincidence or not, I did have some tough times to endure after that. That fall, it was discovered I had a brain aneurysm. Sparrows and finches to me, at least color wise are not as startling a thing. Perhaps you are just getting a gentle nudge from nature. Not meaning to frighten you and I am sure a sparrow and a finch are likely warm congenial totems.

Yes, that is true. Thanks.

This land gets a lot of migratorial birds (yes, these birds are illegal aliens, in fact they need to be reported to DHS asap). Today i had seen 2 Canadian Geese(They heard about the WIN) are heading back.

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Facts are stubborn things;
and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

We can never shed our sins and regrets, only accumulate more, a burden that we grow and carry until our deaths. The best we can do is learn to live with ourselves, to accommodate our pasts

My grandmother in her long apron use to chase them around in the house with a broom. Kinda funny. I might keep the window shut when i ask, ok?

You saw two Canada geese. Or, shorter, two Canadas. That is what we call them.

Canadian geese are the ones with passports.

Also, I'm going with the reflection in the window. But be aware of self and situations. Could be a sign.

Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
Was it in Morse code? Could have been a extraterrestrial in disguise or maybe just wanted breakfast and was pissed you weren't taking his order.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more."

Ah, the Raven. Felt something was missing.

Gee thanks Dave.
