Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
When this happened to me, i also posted here. Many were saying they were animal totems and i looked into what the cardinal signified as a a totem. Found some insight there. I took the bright red cardinal as a warning and coincidence or not, I did have some tough times to endure after that. That fall, it was discovered I had a brain aneurysm. Sparrows and finches to me, at least color wise are not as startling a thing. Perhaps you are just getting a gentle nudge from nature. Not meaning to frighten you and I am sure a sparrow and a finch are likely warm congenial totems.

i wasn't gonna say anything either, but 3-4 months of bird window peckings, i had a TIA mini-stroke.

Well it helps. In addition, Holy Water will be spread through the house tomorrow and some prayers added. Can't take chances. Thanks.

Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
Some birds do this a territorial thing when they see their reflection in the window and think its another bird. Very common in the spring.

or sees it's own reflection and is looking for a mate. Tis that time of year

This has happened at my basement window it went on for days I finally taped a large sheet of white paper on the inside of the window. Pecking stopped (no reflection) end of story

He sees his own image in the window and he thinks it is a rival trying to steal his mate.

if bird was an ostrich, it means you have toughened glass. If bird had had human contact it will be looking at and kissing himself in the mirror. If bird is pigeon it means that they`re practically everywhere by now. are there any other types of bird left... oh yez the dodo, if it is one of these you be well in the money! thumbs

Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
A message from the spirit world. Ask the bird (window closed) what message it has for you. Clean house bottom to top while thinking about the events happening in your life and look for an answer. You will see/hear/feel it and an unasked but important question will be answered. Put a gift for the bird to thank it for its work. Be graetful for the communication and consider yourself lucky.

Yes, I agree with this explanation.

Especially if your window is reflective, the birds see their image in the glass and fight the 'intruder' to establish their territory.

They do this to my E-glass window all spring and summer (Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Bullock's Orioles), and a robin actually scratched my vehicle's window glass and mirror taking on its reflection.

You can also buy a cheap plastic 'twirly' and hang it right in front of the glass. It scares the birds away.

This little yellow bird with a black beek has been pecking at my two bed room windows, The bird comes around 6am and leaves around 4pm every day. It can't be because he see's his reflection because at 6am there's no light and at 4pm they are. I don't know what to do about this bird it is bothering me to death I think I will kill it but I don't know how to.

It's like in salem's lot. The bird is a vampire and just wants in to bite your neck. Now let it in before we have to call PETA!

Re: Bird persisently pecking at my window. What does this mean?
It mean either that it thinks its babies are inside, its hungry, or it sees its reflection and want to keep it away.

We have a robin that has been pecking on our door for about 1 1/2 month. We tried food it stopped for a while, we tried covering the window it stopped for 2 days, so now we just think that she wants her babies. One day we did see them jump out of the nest and fly away! Run away babies!!!dancedance

If the bird is consistently pecking at your window or following you around in your home (from outside), I had heard it was a way to tell you that either someone or something was going to fall ill or even pass? i don't know, i'm just googling it now because i recently fell upon the same thing.
