Oh how gullible are the sheeple!! [link to www.health-benefit-of-water.com] Health Benefit of Sea Salt (NOT TABLE SALT!!!!!!!) Is salt good or bad for us? Let's see: First, Dr. F. Batmanghelidj MD explains that salt is not bad for you. It does not raise the blood pressure. It is the insufficiency of other minerals that normally hold on to and keep water inside the cells that causes a rise in blood pressure. Given in conjunction with other minerals, salt will actually lower blood pressure to normal levels. Salt can be very effective in stabilizing irregular heartbeats and, contrary to the misconception that it causes high blood pressure (in conjunction with water and the other essential minerals). - One or two glasses of water with a little salt will quickly and efficiently quiet the racing and "thumping" heart and, in the long run, will reduce the blood pressure. - Talk with your doctor about the right balance of water and salt for your diet. Salt is a strong antihistamine. - It can be used to release asthma. Put it on the tongue after drinking a glass or two of water. It is as effective as an inhaler, without the toxicity. - it can also stop persistent dry cough and clear the lungs of mucus plugs and sticky phlegm, particularly in asthma, emphysema and cystic fibrosis sufferers. - Salt is a strong antiseptic Salt is vital for extracting excess acidity from inside the cells, particularly the brain cells. - if you don't want Alzheimer's disease, don't go salt-free and don't let them put you on diuretic medications for long! Salt is vital for the kidneys to clear excess acidity and pass the acidity to the urine. Without it the body will become more and more acidic. Salt is a strong anti stress element for the body. It is essential in the treatment of emotional and effective disorders. - Lithium is a salt substitute that is used in the treatment of depression. - It also essential for preserving the serotonin, melatonin and tryptamine levels in the brain - essential antidepressant neurotransmitters. Dr. F. Batmanghelidj MD also believes that salt is vital for the prevention and treatment of the cancer. Cancer cells - he explains- cannot leave in an oxygenated environment. When the body is well hydrated and salt expends the volume of blood circulation to reach all parts of the body, the oxygen and active immune cells in the blood reach the cancerous tissue and destroy it. Salt is also important for sleep regulation - it is a natural hypnotic - If you drink a full glass of water, then put a few grains of salt on your tongue and let it stay there, you will fall into a natural, deep sleep. Salt is a vitally needed element for diabetics. - It helps balance the sugar levels in the blood and reduces the need of insulin. IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE, MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS!!! IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE, MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS!!! IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE, MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS!!! Table salt vs. unrefined salt: Sea salt obtained from solar evaporation of sea water is entirely different from modern refined salt, and it contains a variety of minerals that play a role in keeping the body's electrolytes in a healthy balance. Unfortunately, the common table salt, we use today is primarily kiln-dried sodium chloride with anti-caking agents added. Trace minerals, as well as calcium, magnesium and potassium salts are removed in processing. Kiln-drying involves scorching salt at high heat to remove moisture. This refining process creates a product that is unnatural and hard on the body. It is the true culprit that contributes to high blood pressure, heart trouble, kidney disease and eczema, among other problems. Even many salts labeled "sea salt" are washed or boiled, which removes minerals and trace elements from the salt. These salts are absolutely toxic to the body. Beware of "Sea salt" labels. Today many people cannot tolerate the amount of salt required to remain healthy. As a result getting sick from time to time has become an inescapable aspect of the human condition we take for granted. |

No, salt is actually good for you. It all depends on what kind of salt you use. I use Himalayan and Celtic sea salt. Even when buying the Celtic sea salt, you have to be careful. If it's white, it's no good. It means it has been processed..and with aluminum, I might add. It should be gray in color. Educate yourself. Here's one example: [link to www.mnwelldir.org] There's plenty of info out there on the difference between unprocessed sea salt and processed salt. Research it and you'll see. Have you heard of Dr. Batmanghelidj? He was successful in treating many disease simply by using water and Celtic sea salt. [link to www.watercure.com] [link to www.watercure2.org] |

In fact I have a very bad reaction to the chloride part and cannot use it. There is enough natural sodium in your food that you really do not need to add more. My Dad lived to be 95 and for the last 40 years of his life he used no table salt. Most resturants use too much salt. Likewise the prepared foods you buy at the grocery store contain too much salt. I bought some Corned Beef Hash in a can a few years ago; it was so salty that I could not eat it. Likewise I thought that those egg yolks they make for Babies in that little jar would be good to have for Lunch. It too was too salty to eat. What are they doing to our kids with this sort of crap? What is so hard about just having Salt on the tables?, which I believe they do, with a notice that if they want salt on the food, just add it to suit your own taste. |

We need salt to live. Here are five things needed to sustain life. oxygen water salt(sea salt) potassium exercise sea salt is better for you but salt is needed. and when food is cooked without salt it takes much more salt to get it to taste. people will end up consuming more salt. i would also add iodine to the list of survival needs because people are very deficient in it these days. also, the reason that doctors are taking people off salt is because most if not all people are dehydrated. drink your water people then you won't have to worry about salt intake. drink at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water per day then you can have all the salt you want. but since people are so damn stubborn and want to only drink fluids like coffee, tea, pop etc that dehydrate the body can't get rid of the sodium. only water will hydrate the body. so dehydration is the real problem here. not salt intake. |

How is that possible when iodine comes abundantly in plants from the sea. Let's think here. There is not enough iodine in sea salt to prevent iodine deficiency. In fact, most people ARE iodine deficient. Symptoms: If there is a severe iodine deficiency, especially during gestation or early postnatal growth, it results in cretinism which is a syndrome characterized by both mental and physical retardation. In adults, a severe iodine deficiency may result in endemic myxedema, which causes hypofunction of the thyroid gland and a slower metabolic rate. It can also cause: Anemia An enlarged tongue Slow speech Puffiness of the hands and face Problems with skin and hair Drowsiness Mental apathy The most common of all iodine deficiency symptoms in children as well as adults is hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism, in turn leads to many other symptoms such as: Muscle cramps Swelling of the legs Depression Excessive sleepiness Dry skin and hair Rise in the cholesterol levels Reduced concentration Excessive sleepiness Fatigue and tiredness Intolerance towards cold Constipation Aches and pain in the body Cramps in muscles Mild weight gain [link to www.google.ca] |
