I don't know if its necessarily communist but I do remember it too. I see manifest destiny in that song. We were taught that we had great resources across this land and that we should use those resources wisely with respect for the environment. As well, we were taught capitalism. Therefore, we find ourselves in a position where we want to lawfully acquire assets and make use of our resources with respect for nature. I see this in most Americans and very few are opposite. However, we are in a predicament where we have seen atrocious corporations violate all of our civil & legal agreements, values, and principles which disturbs the culture at its very core. Moreover, we are severely strained financially and cannot acquire any real assets because of the Federal Reserve and a runaway government with excessive taxes. This predicament is making the American Dreams impossible and leading to civil unrest. My personal opinion is that the majority of cultural influence has been acquired by two main cartels - Disney and News Corp. There is a handful of others that makes up the minions of Disney and News Corp. The top down cultural manifestation these 2 corporations creates is probably the greatest force preventing a cleansing of the system because they silence the view of anything that goes against their desires, which they are legally entitled to do. The solution is simple - get the word out and boycott the corrupt outlets until they are bankrupt, allowing new American institutions to fill in the gaps. Getting the word out is hard as we have seen by the "We The People" movement which was hijacked by the exact target that "We The People" had in their scopes last April 15th.
