ObamaCare: When All Else Fails Lie, Cheat & Deal ALERT: Democrats are attacking anybody that dares to stop Obama's extreme quest to destroy healthcare in America. Rejecting sensible ideas, not starting over, feeding on the members of their own party and when all else fails Obama, Pelosi and Reid have become true dictators as they lie, cheat and deal. Obama is defying the public to ram ObamaCare into law at any cost betraying America and this is not the change we are looking for. TELL ALL 261 Democrat/Independent Representatives, Blue Dog Democrats AND President Obama To KILL THIS BILL and CUT HealthCare COSTS FIRST. Select Here SEND YOUR FAXES NOW! 75% of Americans polled by CNN reject it. Pelosi says - JUST PASS THE BILL THEN YOU CAN READ WHAT'S IN IT! Shamefully, Obama, Pelosi and Reid are using strong arm tactics and are buying votes with empty promises to House Democrats. They say they will change the bill after passage to remove special deals to individual states, cut healthcare costs, save Medicare benefits and include government run healthcare with the public option. Pelosi has told Democrats that they should sacrifice their own re-election if necessary so that Obama can get his way. Democrats owe their loyalty to the people who elect them not to the leaders of the DNC? True democrats - regardless of party - understand that they are not in office to fulfill their own wishes. They are there as the representatives of the people. They must stand up to do the right thing and protect all Americans. Democrats who choose to follow Obama and Pelosi, in defiance of their constituents, are showing a true lack of character and should be removed from office. House Democrats and Republicans must stop Pelosi and Reid from using a slick budget process that requires the House to pass the Senate version of ObamaCare without changes. Just last month Democrats passed a pay as you go budget policy because it was politically correct saying any new unbudgeted items added to the budget would be paid for with cuts. One month later they decided to ignore the new law and added a $10 billion benefits extension in new unbudgeted debt and vilify Sen. Jim Bunning of Kentucky for daring to make them pay for it first. Obama and the Democrats cannot be trusted with a Healthcare entitlement that is already estimated to be 30% of the Federal budget. Obama lied in a recent speech saying his scheme would save $1Trillion "over the next decade." The CBO however estimated the bill would save $132 billion from 2010 to 2019, leaving Obama's "next decade" estimate $868 billion short. The budget office also said "A detailed year-by-year projection for years beyond 2019 ... would not be meaningful, because the uncertainties involved are simply too great." There is no way to stop ObamaCare in the Senate since Obama has ordered Reid to use reconciliation, FORCING THE BILL TO PASS WITH 51 VOTES. But we can beat it in the House! Dozens of Congressmen who voted for the bill last time are re-thinking their support as tax increases and special deals to buy off Senators are included. And, since the bill passed by only 220-215, Pelosi has no Democratic margin for error. This is the biggest gamble of Obama's presidency. Nancy Pelosi may not have the votes to pass the healthcare bill through the House. So, Obama is telling the Blue Dogs that he is prepared to sacrifice them in order to get ObamaCare. Will they cave in and throw away their chances in November, or will they finally live up to their "conservative" label? This is outrageous and exactly what Americans do not want. FAX NOW AND OFTEN AND MAKE CALLS TO CONGRESS. We need your continued help more than ever as Socialized Health Care MUST STILL Be Stopped. Quoting: CyndexiaSome of us want it, me for one. "Health reform is back from the dead. Many Democrats have realized that their electoral prospects will be better if they can point to a real accomplishment. Polling on reform — which was never as negative as portrayed — shows signs of improving. And I’ve been really impressed by the passion and energy of this guy Barack Obama. Where was he last year? But reform still has to run a gantlet of misinformation and outright lies. So let me address three big myths about the proposed reform, myths that are believed by many people who consider themselves well-informed, but who have actually fallen for deceptive spin. The first of these myths, which has been all over the airwaves lately, is the claim that President Obama is proposing a government takeover of one-sixth of the economy, the share of G.D.P. currently spent on health. Well, if having the government regulate and subsidize health insurance is a “takeover,” that takeover happened long ago. Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs already pay for almost half of American health care, while private insurance pays for barely more than a third (the rest is mostly out-of-pocket expenses). And the great bulk of that private insurance is provided via employee plans, which are both subsidized with tax exemptions and tightly regulated. The only part of health care in which there isn’t already a lot of federal intervention is the market in which individuals who can’t get employment-based coverage buy their own insurance. And that market, in case you hadn’t noticed, is a disaster — no coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions, coverage dropped when you get sick, and huge premium increases in the middle of an economic crisis. It’s this sector, plus the plight of Americans with no insurance at all, that reform aims to fix. What’s wrong with that? The second myth is that the proposed reform does nothing to control costs. To support this claim, critics point to reports by the Medicare actuary, who predicts that total national health spending would be slightly higher in 2019 with reform than without it. Even if this prediction were correct, it points to a pretty good bargain. The actuary’s assessment of the Senate bill, for example, finds that it would raise total health care spending by less than 1 percent, while extending coverage to 34 million Americans who would otherwise be uninsured. That’s a large expansion in coverage at an essentially trivial cost. And it gets better as we go further into the future: the Congressional Budget Office has just concluded, in a new report, that the arithmetic of reform will look better in its second decade than it did in its first. Furthermore, there’s good reason to believe that all such estimates are too pessimistic. There are many cost-saving efforts in the proposed reform, but nobody knows how well any one of these efforts will work. And as a result, official estimates don’t give the plan much credit for any of them. What the actuary and the budget office do is a bit like looking at an oil company’s prospecting efforts, concluding that any individual test hole it drills will probably come up dry, and predicting as a consequence that the company won’t find any oil at all — when the odds are, in fact, that some of the test holes will pan out, and produce big payoffs. Realistically, health reform is likely to do much better at controlling costs than any of the official projections suggest. Which brings me to the third myth: that health reform is fiscally irresponsible. How can people say this given Congressional Budget Office predictions — which, as I’ve already argued, are probably too pessimistic — that reform would actually reduce the deficit? Critics argue that we should ignore what’s actually in the legislation; when cost control actually starts to bite on Medicare, they insist, Congress will back down. But this isn’t an argument against Obamacare, it’s a declaration that we can’t control Medicare costs no matter what. And it also flies in the face of history: contrary to legend, past efforts to limit Medicare spending have in fact “stuck,” rather than being withdrawn in the face of political pressure. So what’s the reality of the proposed reform? Compared with the Platonic ideal of reform, Obamacare comes up short. If the votes were there, I would much prefer to see Medicare for all. For a real piece of passable legislation, however, it looks very good. It wouldn’t transform our health care system; in fact, Americans whose jobs come with health coverage would see little effect. But it would make a huge difference to the less fortunate among us, even as it would do more to control costs than anything we’ve done before. This is a reasonable, responsible plan. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. " |

The rich loobyists for the health insurance companies must be STOPPED! Quoting: Brad Watson, Miami, FL- Brad Watson, Miami, FL In response to your post: Quote: Let us break down the infamous '47 million uninsured.' According to the Census Bureau, of that 47 million, 38 percent of them (18 million) have personal incomes of more than $50,000 a year. This means that they can afford coverage, and choose not to purchase it. Is it just to tax other working people to subsidize health coverage for these 18 million who could afford it for themselves but choose not to purchase it for themselves? Anybody with half a brain towards liberty would have to answer no to the above question. Now that leaves us with 29 million uninsured left to explain. Of that 29 million uninsured, the biggest chunk of them aren't even citizens. Yes, you guessed it, those pesky illegal immigrants that drive up the cost of everything. It seems that our uninsured problem is directly related to the lack of border security! Of course they wouldn't be able to be covered by private health insurers because they do not possess citizenship! Their number is about 12.6 million, or 27 percent of the original '47 million uninsured' number. This could be a higher percentage, because many prominent think tanks place the number of illegal immigrants as high as 20 million, instead of the 12 or 13 million figure. However, for the sake of argument, let us go with the most conservative figure. Subtract the 12.6 number from the remaining 29 million uninsured number, and we come to the next stage of our breakdown, 16.4 million uninsured. Of that remaining 16.4 million uninsured, 8 million are under the age of 18. If the parents of these young ones cannot afford to cover them either on their own family plans or independently, there are public insurance options already available for them but their parents have just not signed them up. So that leaves us with 8.4 million uninsured, a figure less than 3 percent of the American population, and many of these are 18-20 somethings who choose not to purchase health coverage because, well, they think that they won't get sick! Health experts actually refer to this age group as the 'invincibles!' The remainder of this 8.4 million uninsured are low income and could easily be covered by either federal Medicare or state run Medicaid or some charity insurance programs, and they for whatever reason have chosen not to go and get signed up. [link to forums.canadiancontent.net] I am 23 uninsured and when I want to I will get insurance. Until then i will pay Cash that I have saved up for the purpose of medical expense. Stop sinning Cyndexia. God wants everyone to have access to good healthcare, not just the rich. God wants ALL Americans to have access to healthcare - currently ~47,000,000 have no health insurance including me and my girlfriend. ~45,000 Americans die every year because they couldn't afford healthcare. The costs of all heathcare have been skyrocketing for years. President Obama and the Democrats are pursuing a very godly Congressional bill, while the ungodly CONservative Repubs are fighting for the staus quo. The GOP is fighting God because they know that by far, most Americans that can't afford health insurance are poor and Democrats or don't vote. The rich loobyists for the health insurance companies must be STOPPED! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 676995- Brad Watson, Miami, FL In response to your post: Quote: Let us break down the infamous '47 million uninsured.' According to the Census Bureau, of that 47 million, 38 percent of them (18 million) have personal incomes of more than $50,000 a year.
