Purple Snow Blankets Eastern Russia

Like something out of a Jimi Hendrix song, the citizens of Stavropol, Russia, are surrounded by a purple haze. It’s not LSD or smoke-machine related; this purple haze is actually purple snow, which blanketed the region earlier this week. The snow isn’t actually all purple, it actually ranges in color from red to brown. The region is no stranger to weird snow, both in terms of color of snow and in terms of the sheer amount of snow that can fall at once.

Heavy metals paint snow yellow

SOFIA -- The yellow snow that was falling in Bulgaria and south Romania several days ago contained heavy metals.

In Sofia, authorities previously thought the color came from African sand.

Bulgarian media are quoting Romanian meteorologists who rejected claims of their Bulgarian colleagues that the snow turned yellow due to the Saharan sand.

Their research discovered that the reddish powder found in the snow contained copper, iron, zinc, chrome, lead, nickel, arsenic and cadmium – metals usually found in the ground.

Ion Paun of Romania's Center of Meteorology said that their charts showed that the yellow snow "had nothing to do with Africa".

Doctors, meanwhile, explained that heavy metals, in higher concentrations, can have adverse effect on people’s health, and can affect their livers, the Bulgarian media reported.

Heavy metal fog sounds like someone is running an illegal smelter. I'd think it would be easy to spot. Usually you don't see that sort of pollution outside of China.

Weather control, you can disperse clouds with proper metals, problem is that clouds are not dissapearing, just moving further, collecting more load.

not having any idea where the metals are from, i'll take a guess at a possible source.

underwater volcanoes are getting more and more active by the day. they are waaay under-reported due to the fact we just dont see them, and so they arent being widely reported. could it be that these things are belching up metals like the ones above?
