Ah yes

I remember the first time I held a Pinfire revolver

Its was during a Cockroach hunting expedition at a Waffle House outside of Memphis.

I was along to merely photograph the hunt ....but things didn't go as planned.

We had just spotted a big German Roach 12 feet away , it antennas swaying in the breeze of the fryer ventilation hood

Bubba quickly dropped to one knee and took aim , the roach suddenly spun and charged us Bip , bip , bip went Bubbas revolver , but to no effect

The Roach bore down on us ,Bubba fumbled to reload but he dropped his tweezers and pistol causing him to panic and run, I turned to run also, but caught sight of Bubbas gun stuck in the butter ball of an elderly woman's pancake plate .

I grabbed the weapon , and with a proficiency I didn't know I had quickly chambered a round and fired at the charging roach

I missed ....the the sudden pop caused a rat under a nearby table to scurry out , forcing the roach to swerve, this bought me some time

'I only have one chance left" I thought as I chanbered another round and took aim.

The roach is now stuffed , mounted and on display at Graceland.

The End
