Quoting: Anonymous Coward 895775One beer a day keeps the doctor away. Wow I thought I was the only person that said this. I am about to go drink a beer now. Has to be good shit though. You Americans and Canadians usually drink shit sad to say. I had this one Oatmeal stout from a Canadian brewery that was good though. Forget the name. Mc something or other I think. |

Sam adams back in the day had triple bock or whatever. Some friends and I bought like 20 bottles of it for a frat party, it mostly went untouched throughout the night. It came in at like 18% ABV.. a couple bottles got you pretty buzzed, but also full as fuck..like you just ate a 8oz Tbone or something. Def not a party beer. |

I normally pop a few Sierra nevada pale ales after work..but dont over do it. On the weekends i splurge though. |

Mc something or other I think. you just haven't had good American beer. Sure miller or the budweiser is ok out on the town if you just want to get wasted on the cheap. But its a far cry from being a showcase of the many many many great micro/ semi commercial brewers in the states. Sierra Nevada is my main ale of choice through the summer. Its not exactly a micro brew, but very high quality and plenty hopppy. give it a shot..then work into the more obscure stuff. Lots of great beers to be had here, and same as in Europe. |
