No, seriously, the third eye is the pineal gland. In correlation to that remember that Jesus was crucified in the middle; there was a thief (read - normal human), crucified on each side of Jesus. There Jesus represents the pineal gland. The pineal is our connection to God.

OP, if you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to open your third eye? I know it's different for others but for you personaly.


The third eye is working to an extent in everyone (it's the eye you use to view your thoughts in your head with, visually recall memories, and view your dreams). This is why we also call it the mind's eye.

It's just a case of psychic exercises which strengthen it over time -- sort of like making the arm muscles becoming bigger through weight training. Some people are naturally born with the third eye (clairvoyants), whereas, with most of us, it has atrophied over many generations, due to our ancestors being too focused on what's going on out there, as opposed to in here (I'm also told that it was deliberately closed down by the Gods many thousands of years ago).

The five senses are always recording information from the outside world (precisely what they where intended for), but the third eye (the sixth sense) is designed to record information from inner space. If the five senses are always in a state of hyper-alertness (if you live in a very busy and noisy city like New York), then you will never be able to 'listen' to the information coming from within because it is being drowned out by dominant information coming byway of the five senses.

So the first step is to become calmer and not so alert to stimulus from the outside world, then the inner world will begin to awaken.

Naw, I'm going to meditate again. I have nothing to be afraid of. If 'god' wouldn't want me to use my pineal gland then I would have never been born with one. The universe is my god and it will let me do w/e I want to do.
