i just want to add if everyone paid only 100.00 a month pr person its more affordable the gov will still make money not everyone who has ins uses it put a stop to ins co

Guess what, poor people and poor families like MINE CANT afford $100 a person. Me, my husband and son live on less than $25,000 a year, PAYCHECK to PAYCHECK and I AM thinking of my son and NOT myself. I am thinking about my family, which INCLUDES my son, being homeless or going with less groceries on our table or other necessitates because I have to pay money I do NOT have to OBAMA CARE.


I am NOT thinking of just me, I am thinking of my SON too when I KNOW I CANT pay for OBAMA CARE AND all my bills, house payment, groceries ECT.

How is this better for us to be FORCED to pay for HEALTH CARE to the government or ANYONE ELSE. Some people dont have it. WE HONEST to God live PAYCHECK to PAYCHECK. We SERIOUSLY dont have $50 or $100 or MORE a PERSON a MONTH to pay. People that make way more than $25,000 a year DONT understand.

If you do understand great, but UNTIL you have a spouse and child and barely bring in $25,000 a YEAR and SCRAPE by PAYCHECK to PAYCHECK with VERY LITTLE left over, DONT speak to me about think about not being selfish and thinking about ourselves, think about our kids, because I AM thinking about what MY SON is going to have to go WITHOUT so ME and my HUSBAND can have Obama Care.


MY SON already has insurance, MEDICAID and right as of now, until Obama Care kicks in, HE can go to the doctor or dentist anytime HE needs to and that is my main care.

I could care LESS if I get insurance. My SON already has insurance. So now with Obama Care me and my husband will have insurance (because we HAVE to) and MORE out of our pockets, NOT so my son can see a doctor, BUT so me and my husband can see one, HE will have to go without some things.

Unless YOU are going to pay for MY families insurance, dont speak of we need to think about our children and not be selfish thinking about ourselves. I am thinking about how I KNOW how much money my family has after mortgage, bills, groceries and other necessities and you DONT.

I am unsure what you have leftover from your paychecks to pay for this "FREE" healthcare, but YOU have no idea how much my family has, and it is NOT enough to pay for this. And it would just be benefiting me and my husband since my son has had Medicaid since he was born and I have NEVER had to worry about NOT being able to get care for HIM.

I'd rather go WITHOUT healthcare and make sure I can still AFFORD to pay for the ROOF over our heads and ENOUGH food in the house and to pay other bills like electricity so we have power to cook the food and other necessities like clothes when my son outgrows the ones he has, bathroom necessities and just what EVERYONE NEEDS to survive.

Are YOU going to pay my mortgage or get my family more food or pay my power bill when OBAMA CARE starts drafting out of MY bank account and I have to figure out what bills I can still pay and what I CANT anymore.

Just because OBAMA CARE may or may not be cheaper than private ins companies doesnt mean I can pay it.

Just because I am being FORCED to pay and it WILL come out of mine and everyone elses checking account automatically whether we have enough in our bank to cover it or not, will not MAGICALLY make there be enough money in my bank to cover it.

People dont get that we HAVE to pay this, EVERYONE does. I can believe ANY civilian wants to be FORCED to pay hundreds or more a month if they arent already paying for insurance.

MOST people that DONT ALREADY have health insurance, dont have it because they cant AFFORD it NOT because they dont want it.


If you are already paying for insurance, that is an expense you already KNOW you can afford and are still being able to pay your OTHER bills.

For those that DONT already have health insurance, it is more than likely because they DONT have ANY extra money to buy private or government MANDATED insurance. If POOR people DONT have extra money AFTER FOOD and BILLS to buy private insurance they DONT have it to give to the government either.

If I say I have a tv I am going to GIVE you for FREE, then you come to my house to pick up your FREE TV and I say, Oh you have to pay me $50 for this FREE tv, is it still FREE?

Obama said this would be FREE healthcare for the POOR, but now that it is LAW we find out ALL have to pay, no matter your income level. They base what you have to pay from your income level, but even if it is LOW you STILL have to PAY so HOW is it FREE health care for the POOR?

If you are on Medicaid and NEED one of those POWER CHAIRS that are like the hoverounds and all those other motorized power chairs that get disabled people around or if you NEED a LIFT CHAIR, better try to see if Medicaid will pay now because once all these laws and rules kick in, Medicaid will NO LONGER cover the costs.

YOU will have to pay the $2,000 - $6,000 ALL yourself out of your pocket. That IS in there, go and look for yourself. The cost depends on what kind of chair you get. TRUST me on the cost because my grandmother had to get one years ago and they told her how much they cost.


Anyway, just thought I would let you know that if you need one go ahead and take the necessary steps before you cant anymore.

In Canada we have "free" healthcare and as a result the government cut about 45% directly from every paychecks I get to pay for it and other "free" services.

No ,will that make is that the Dr. that have no consideration for you, asking lets say 2oo,000 thousands dollars for your operation, that you cant pay will have to be more descent about it, you will be able to afford your plan and have the operation. The Drs. that are screaming ,check how much they earn and how much they charge to the people that have plans .You are going to be surprise!

I find it interesting that you classify those who oppose the monstrosity called Obamacare as sheep. I propose that you are the blind sheep dutifully following the voice of your shepherd. I think it is more than mere coincidence that your shepherd Obama has been saying the very same thing. However, those who know that Obama is the worst liar in the history of the Presidency actually took the time to check out the facts. Guess what? The insurance companies were making a very modest profit margin, less than many U.S. Corporations.

Here is how Obama brain washes his gullible sheep: he tells the flock how much profit these giant companies make, but he neglects to tell them that although their profits are huge, their profit margins are, well, marginal. You see, Obama knows that those who comprise his flock aren't that bright and do not know the difference between profit and profit margin. Let me enlighten you, or rather let me try to enlighten you.

Do you remember when the price of gasoline had everyone complaining? The U.S. Congress blamed the evil oil companies who were making billions of dollars in profit. Unfortunately, many people jumped on the bandwagon and the oil companies were demonized. However, scattered voices of reason (mostly talk radio) proved that the oil companies were making less than 10% profit margin, that is for each gallon of gas costing $3.00 the oil companies made a profit of 30 cents. At the same time, various levels of government were raking in 50 cents and more in taxes on the same gallon of gas and there was no public outcry.

The reason the oil companies were making so much profit is that they were selling so fucking much gas. They were not ripping off anyone, but were in fact delivering a critical product at a very reasonable price. Let me break it down, way down, to your level. McDonalds makes a huge profit because they sell one hell of a lot of burgers; however, their burgers are inexpensive because their profit margin (profit as a percentage of sales) is small. Just suppose that McDonalds made a trillion dollars in profit this year (yes, I made this up) and there is a restaurant down the street that only made $100,000 profit. Further suppose that Mcdonalds charged you three bucks for a burger and the restaurant charged you five bucks. Where would you buy your burger, assuming taste and quality of both burgers were the same. Would you willingly pay more because the restaurant made less total profit but charged you more for a single burger? Who is ripping you off? Get real.

Now let's talk about health care. The insurance companies' profit margin is in fact reasonable, but Obama and his minions are not saying anything about profit margin. Instead, Obama talks about total profit as though money made by sheer volume of sales is a bad thing. However, prices are always cheapest (a very good thing) when profits are highest, assuming a reasonable profit margin. This is true because the corporation's cost per unit decreases as more and more units are sold. High corporate profits are a good thing for Americans because they keep costs down. This is true for oil companies, grocery chains, fast food services and health insurers. Now I have an MBA and I am sure you do not, but certainly you can understand this basic concept.

Caution: never condemn a company because it makes a lot of money as long as long as the profit is the result of high volume and not excessive profit margin. Now, do yourself a favor and find out how much profit margin was made by the insurance companies compared to other industries. Quit accepting everything you hear and check things out for yourself for a change.

PS: Do you remember when Obama said that by insuring more people, the cost of health insurance would actually decrease for everyone? Well, at least your fearless leader got it partly right in that the more customers you have (the more gallons of gas sold) the cheaper the cost per unit. Thus, the higher the profit from increased customers, the lower the cost per unit. However, Obama is not that bright and failed to understand that an increase in the amount of customers reduces cost per unit only if the additional customers are paying for the product, which is not the case in Obamacare But that's another story for another time.

The divide on what is REALLY in the bill and what isn't can only be construed as many people have not actually read the bill. Which of course includes many in DC who actually voted for the bill.

This bill really scares me.
I am having a hard time digesting some of the language contained in it.
For example, talking about assisted suicides, mercy killings, etc.
But even if I disregard that...
There is an section about the penalty for lapsing on insurance for even one month...it immediately involves the IRS and is now being included in the new tax code.

I for one, am taken aback by the wording in the bill.
The IRS will be involved ANYTIME one does not pay their monthly forced amount.
The other thing this bill does do, it piggy backs rules and regulations for college loans. Is that Health care???

With this bill in place, amendments to it can be piggy backed on other legislation we are not privy to or made aware that could drastically change the provisions and thereby extend the reach this bill can make to our liberties.
