Watch this: The first time when we noticed the laid back crescent, the U-Moon was March 18. 2010.
On February 27, just a feew weeks before there was the 8.8 Chilean EQ, which admittedly modified Earth's rotation/orbit/wobbling, although "just a little bit". [link to earthquake.usgs.gov]
What a coincidence! Yes, it is a coincidence. May be, you noticed the laid back crescent in 2010. I noticed it way before as a youth. Hence my interest in astronomy. Learned it from mostly antiquarian books (cheaper, as a youth my money was limited). Nothing has change since then. Every big EQ changes the length of the day and the rotational axis. The change is in the millisecond and milli-arcsecond range, at the limit of measurability. And since the force is always in a different direction, it settles over some time to almost zero. .
