The sale of existing homes is insignificant for the economy
We are down about 33% from three years ago. Existing home sales are economically important only to show the aggressiveness of buyers. A great many of the homes need repairs either before or after turnover, so that might boost hardware sales, but not much more.

Having all of these homes sold at auction is still driving the house prices down, and that adds to Deflation.
