Why don't they ever case Chris Burke of Corky Thatcher fame as a leading man? Carell and Burke could play a couple of wacky cops maybe chasing down some diamond thieves or bank robbers. Carell could meet some cute "girl next door" Federal Agent and do the boy meets girl thing. Burke could get eaten by wild dogs. It would be hilarious and heart warming. Carrel would play Jack Mongo and Burke would play Bill Smith, but you could still title the movie "Mongo and Mongo"
