I have paid into SS for over 35 years and the government has blown the money on useless wars to profit corporations, EBT cards, and pais SSI benefits for illegals. Nobody my age has any idea how much we will need to retire, look at how much basic costs such as fuel and food have increased just in the last year. Social Security will be gone to be of what little help it would have been - although benefits could have been higher had they not blown the $ and given it to people who never paid in. When every US citizen realizes they have been robbed of money they paid a "trust fund" for 40 years or more of their lives will they finally wake up? What is it going to take?
