Obama's exclusionary Easter Egg Roll
Ethel C. Fenig
Not that there was any doub,t but Penny Starr of CNSN News reveals once again the hypocrisy of President Barack Obama (D) of public versus private use.

The Obama administration announced on Tuesday it has reserved 3,000 free tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll for students in D.C.-area public and charter schools, but not for children who attend private or parochial schools.

And what crime did private students commit which resulted in their exclusion from a public event at the White House?

"These tickets are from the White House to public schools, and we're appreciative, but there may be other things unrelated to this press conference," Fenty responded. "That's a great question."

Sure it is a great question--but Fenty, Washington DC mayor, doesn't have an answer. Just give him more taxes for more public bread and circuses but bar the non favored who provide the funds but don't use the facilities.

And since the First and Second Daughters attend a private school, as do the grandchildren of Vice President Joe (Bleep) Biden (D), they presumably will be banished to their rooms or sent away during this time, not allowed to associate with the public school beneficiaries of their daddys' taxes. If perchance they are seen on the White House lawn, participating in the festivities, arrest them for trespassing.

Ever mindful of the separation of religion and state, ever mindful of the power of propaganda, the Easter Egg Roll, based on a religious holiday important to Christians, has a theme.

The theme of this year's event is "Ready, Set, Go," and the White House says it will "promote health and wellness."

"All of the activities will encourage children to lead healthy and active lives and follow the First Lady's ‘Let's Move!' initiative, a national campaign to combat childhood obesity," the White House said.

The event will feature live music, sports courts, storytelling, egg rolling - and cooking stations.

Private school children may conduct their own privately funded egg roll on their school's playground or backyard. Just be careful not to use a publicly funded park.
