yes. there are many analogies to "prove" the existence of other dimensions, but the truth is that it will always be something purely theoretical. one day we will find ourselves in a 4D reality (as soon as humanity acquires nearly-absolute control over 3D reality: nanotechnology, time-travel, teleportation, etc) and we will be theoretizing about the existence of higher dimensions (5th, 6th, etc). it never ends. there is always a higher dimension enveloping the current realm we find ourselves in.
