Look up a company called PSA They do PSA-DNA authentication and it will up the value of your memorabilia cause many hardcore collectors need some sort of assurance that what you say happend, happend. Its a small fee but I would find a place to take it in person obviously. Sometimes PSA will be at a local card show giving deals for their service. Many people send in cards to get graded by them they are the best company by far. Otherwise, any true collector won't be able to give oyu as much money cause theres that thought it isn't real |

My dad was a big fan, and went to literally 100s of Hank Aaron's games. My grandfather confirmed it happened before he died, and my dad loved telling the story of getting this bat. A ton of stuff. My dad collected since he was a kid. I have most of his cards...lots of baseball, football, and basketball. Some notable ones are Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Mickey Mantle, Joe Montana, lots of Michael Jordans...and 1000s more! I have a an autographed Joe Montana jersey, and Jerry Rice jersey in really cool cases. Lots of other trinkets like mugs, ashtrays, and other toys from sports stars. I know VERY LITTLE about this stuff, so I probably have a gold mine, but have no clue how much. |

As long as the authentication is by a reputable company, like the item is serial #'d and can be looked up in a database or something. Otherwise thats pretty cool man, very unique story you have there. Truly a momento i say you keep it to show your son, grandkids one day . The only player worth noting today is Jeter, rest are roid mongers. So having that bat get better everyday a roid mogner comes to the plate. |

Bank dude, bank! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 917587How much do you think? Like over $2k? not 2 grand but maybe 450-$600. That's it?????!! Economy sucks, the fact its broken, and he's still alive Once the man passes then obviously theres no more autographs to be had. the fact its broken obviously means it was game-used... I'd say that price range is pretty fair considering autographed balls no more than $300 i think ... |

My bat only has Aaron's signature on it, but since it was used in an actual game by Hank Aaron himself, might make it more special. |

No blood that I can tell. The bat is just cracked from the top to about half way down from a hit ball. The bat isn't shattered at all. |

I know, and I feel like a big douche for wanting to sell it right after my dad passed, but damn, I'm broke, laid off, and my wife doesn't make a whole lot, plus we have a 2 yr old little girl. Hard decision. |

I remember a rookie Hank Aaron rookie 1954 card was going for 1,200 bucks now I saw it for $200 bucks (in better shape than the 1,200 card) . Hard Times has these dealers broke. Now the Montana Jersey is a nice find. Joe Montana seldom signs so the price should net a hefty price |
