What is that White Streak going across the Night Sky?

Wow, that's crazy. I saw that here in Illinois about 3 hours ago. The moon was huge with yellow haze around it and white cloud like streak kinda below it. I even made my husband come look at it. No way it could be a chemtrail, I don't think.

I just looked again and 2 white Streaks in the Sky making a cross! SOmething is going on in the Night Sky that is very strange!

is that cern experiment thingy going on... could that be the reason why i can't really walk upright tonight? i mean, for some reason the full moon does that to me, but this particular night i could not even get up from my sofa.

Wow, ok I know that it's November now and you all saw your streak(s) in March, but last night my husbend and I were outside by our fire pit and he noticed a cloudlike streak in the sky that was over the left side of our house. Mind you it was a perfectly clear night and we live in a very small community in the country so you could see all the stars and the moon. So we watched the streak wondering what it was. He went inside for 2 minutes and I tended to the fire and when I looked up the streak was still perfectly formed but it moved in the sky from west to east over to the right side of out house still in the shape of a perfect line from north to south. As it moved another came over our house in the same direction from the west in a cloudlike streak. Then we started to notice there were ALOT of planes in the sky. Normally we would see maybe 2 or 3 in an hour over our house but we counted somewhere between 12- 15 planes following the "cloud like streaks" within this 15 minute time period. We were puzzled and started to look farther to the west and saw two more streaks coming our way same shape same travel path and even more planes following them. After they all passed over our house straight as arrows they seemed to suddenly merge together beyond the horizon to the north. And wouldn't you know it... as soon as they dissapeared, so did the planes. We sat there for 20 more minutes humming and whistlingthe x-files theme song.... any ideas on WHAT this was????

No I really don't think this was a leonid shower. I watched video of what the meteors looked like before I found this site just to make sure that was(n't) what I/we saw and no, sorry. It was a row of clouds seperated by what appeared to be a couple hundred feet since there was one on either side of my house at one time. They spanned from norther horizon to the southern horizon, they didn't fade or dissipate or trail a meteor/light, they moved from the western horizon to the eastern at probably 20 mph (just a guess since there was no wind or gusts, it was a clear silent night). And as I said there were 12-20 airplanes in the area after the first one appeared in a 15 minute span when you're lucky to find 3-5 planes in an half an hour on any other day. I am not a person to think outside of reason, normally. I am very cautious and think logically, and this is just something I can not wrap my haed around. I researched it late into the night with no explinations. It's too wierd. I did email my local meteorologist so maybe he'll have an idea....

i live in san jose california n i saw the exact same thing n as soon as i said it was there for quite sometime within 5minutes it was directly over us looking like a bridge n in the distance towards south was another that made it all a cross...the 2nd object was hard 2 look at like it was lookin at the sun..weird then the dogs in the neighborhood n the distance all started barking

I'm in Ohio and I see a large white streak right in front of the moon. I don't know what it is but the sky is very beautiful and clear.

I can't get spaceweather.com to load for me, but wasn't there an article on there the other day that was talking about being able to see the Hubble Telescope moving across the sky? I think it was the Hubble...maybe it was something else we have put up there.

Well considering how terrible the chem trails were today in MI I wouldn't rule anything out.

My boyfriend and I were so shocked today -- must be picking up. X marks going back and forth for hours. -_-.

but just below the moon
a cloud but it wasn't reflecting the moonlight
because it was too thin or wispy it sort of hung there

i live in southern michigan, and i can see the same white streaks crossing each other in the sky. anyone got a clue what it is? its not the milky-way, and it cant be chem trails from planes, if we r all seeing them on different sides of the country, so what is it?

its gotta be high, if were all seein it, but to me it looks real close.

ok, so this is gettin kinda creepy. at 12:55 am i saw these lights in mi. now its 1:05am, and there completley gone. how does a phenomenom like that just disseppear in the span of 10 minutes? please tell me someone got a picture of it.

My guess is Geminid Meteor Shower. I saw it too. Peaks Dec 13,14, 15. Very cool on a clear night.
