Or course Psychiatrists don't want you to know this, cause they would then loose out on all those millions of dollars that they get from keeping you coming back for more & more sessions! :( Last Edited by ObeWayneKenobe on 03/30/2010 12:32 PM |

I think long time prayer works better and longer, but for the non-religious, hypnotism and some deep meditation may work but hypno only works short term. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 920864Your brain centers are connected to little "wires", these thoughts one has is molding the wires, so if you always react or something a certain way, it reinforces that curvature of the "wire". If you need to change something, the first time one does something a new way or thinks in a new manner it may be hard to overcome the original mold in the "wire", then after a few times it starts becoming easier and then eventually the mold will change and it will become habit. wire is an analogy. |

The Real subconscious is in some regard your potential Soul, so be careful of this wish to reset or give it all away. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 348276First find a quiet spot where you won't be interrupted.....later, after you become more skilled in this technique, you can even do it in a crowded, noise fill environment! :) Then quiet your thoughts.......be still. (some use a mantra....while others envision a set of stairs going down.....or a leaf falling gently from a tree which softly lands on a stream of water, leading to a quiet place. ETC.....you can make up your own quieting technique. Then, once you are ready: Simply implement your command. See yourself already there as apposed to wanting to become..... And don't Over meditate......once you are refreshed, get on with your living! Practice this technique (3) times a day(or more if you prefer)......and soon enough the changes you require should begin to manifest themselves in your surroundings! :) Last Edited by ObeWayneKenobe on 03/30/2010 01:10 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 929815While I agree with you in theory, we must also realize that sometime our intentions and actions are working against each other. So what may be part of our "soul"? Intentions or actions? We can become products of our environment, so our actions may not be keeping in line with our intentions. How many people would classify themselves as friendly, nice and loyal and not realize that there actions speak very differently than their intentions? I believe their soul may want to attain those qualities/or maybe does have those qualities...idk, something to think about, though. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 922574 United States 03/30/2010 01:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I personally did it myself through meditation. I was six months sober at the time and was on a search for the truth..basically I wanted the out of body experience so i read all I could on it and studied different types of meditations...I do believe i went 3 or 4 days without sleep and stayed in the medatative state during this whole time..broke on through tot he other side so to speak..I had to start all over again...it`s not that easy to find out everything you thought was one way was really the other. Comming out of that experience was tough but well worth it in the end...basically I lost myself in order to find myself...and there is a God, and everything is exactly the way it`s suppose to be in this very instant in time and space...do a google for "Ram Dass" and listen to old Ramm for a while.... |

One of my favorites is unconditional forgiveness. This does not mean that you let people walk all over you, but you change your inner relationship to the person/place/or thing. |
