The Treaty of 1868 that ended Red Clouds war guaranteed the Souix that the Black Hills country would be theirs for as long as the grass grows and the water flows. I know a little of a Siouan Dialect. It is actually pronounced more like A-Ho (uh hoe) then How. Also its only a greeting used between men. BTW Siouan culture is pretty misogynistic.

Its kind of true. There is a movement among some Lakota that declared that they seceded. Just do a google search on it. Its not "official" by any means. I wish them the best of luck though.
