City of London's Telegraph Hypes Environment for British Plan to Assassinate Obama

April 5, 2010 (LPAC)—The April 3 Telegraph in its "American Way" column written by columnist Toby Harnden, in a piece entitled, "David Petraeus for President: Run General, Run," further promotes the atmosphere for the British plan to assassinate U.S. President Obama. As Lyndon LaRouche has emphasized, the British now find Obama, their tool for ramming through Hitlercare and other atrocities, eminently disposable.

According to the article, "Americans have never been so disgusted with their politicians. More than three-quarters of Americans disapprove of Congress. President Barack Obama's favorability ratings have slumped to below 50 per cent and he is no longer trusted or believed by many who voted for him.

"Republicans are faring little better and the growth of the Tea Party movement reflects the widespread disgust with Washington and the political class. Incumbents across the board are vulnerable in November's mid-term elections."

"Many voters yearn for an outsider, someone with authenticity, integrity and proven accomplishment. Someone who has not spent their life plotting how to ascend the greasy pole, adjusting every utterance for maximum political advantage.

"In this toxic climate, perhaps the only public institution that has increased in prestige in recent years is the American military.... Where better to look for Obama's successor, therefore, than in the uniformed ranks?"

The Telegraph then asserts, "within those [military] ranks, no one stands out like General David Petraeus, head of United States Central Command, leader of 230,000 troops and commander of United States forces in two wars. Having masterminded the Iraq surge, the stunning military gambit that seized victory from the jaws of defeat [sic], he is now directing an equally daunting undertaking in Afghanistan...." That is, the British are promoting the genocidalist who has led thousands of American forces to be slaughtered in wasting wars in Asia which the British engineered.

Lyndon LaRouche commented on the brazen Telegraph piece: "That's very serious. That's exactly saying there is a plan for an assassination of Obama, to be followed, naturally, by a dictatorship, based on the crisis created by his assassination. Otherwise, there is no sense in putting Petraeus's name forward; there's no grounds for Petraeus being put forward now, except something like that."
