I never capitalize the word god anymore, because my concept has changed. The bible doesn't call an 'anointed one' the mighty counselor for nothing. That higher consciousness truly is the mediator and anyone can attain that level. It's not outside of us. JW also don't believe the christ was crusified in December. |

Ten Hits User ID: 898942 United States 04/04/2010 10:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They make a couple very minor phrase changes in their version of the Bible. One is about Jesus. Theirs says Jesus is "...a god..." instead of just "God." Then you ask them if there are more than one God. They say no, of course not, blah, blah blah. Then you point out their messed-up Bible changes and they get mad and charge you 40 cents for a cartoon pamphlet. Way overpriced, imo. I'd rather have some nerd with a clip-on tie try to sell me a vacuum. |

In fact I had a nice conversation with a lady who was passing out literature on my street as I was taking my dog for a walk. Turns out she has the same rare breed of dog as mine. She didn't preach, just handed me an invitation to come to their church.. I do find them to be a bit annoying when they come to the door and want to preach to me. But I'm always nice to them. I've read their literature and find their beliefs to be very childish and naive. But to each their own. You have to have some balls to go around door to door when invariably you will get some people who are mean and nasty. I would rather die than sell anything door to door let alone religion. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 902591 United States 04/04/2010 10:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People truly don't realize what the 'christ' represents within each of us. It's 'unspeakable joy' to be at that level. It can't be explained in words adequately. With this energy or consciousness, it is possible to heal what we touch. It's a feeling of such joy and freedom and knowing that nothing matters, but love and light. It's feeling an intimate love within every cell of the body. It's seeing colors more brilliant and beautiful ALL things new! Communing with your best friend one on one. It's only temporary for most, because the old patterns come back and the biggest obstacle is fear. At that higher consciousness there is an awareness that the universe supports our every desire. All thing are of the 'Source'. We are much more than we know. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 656642Why can't people just give out God's loving words without castigating others if they don't join their particular club that they will spend eternity in Hell? What makes their club better than another club? Why have clubs in the first place? Jesus stated that the greatest commandment was to love one another and to love God. Jesus' message was about accepting others, to treat others fairly, to love everyone. It makes me sad that so many have turned Jesus' messages of love into a "member's only" club. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 706857None have come back to my house after I asked them to leave, and they were very polite, even though I was rude. Anyway, thanks for the name to research. It's good to know to know the background of an author and their sources before too much credit is given. Is the the guy you're talking about? WHO IS FRITZ SPRINGMEIER Fritz Artz Springmeier is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on the Illuminati and mind control. He has been on numerous radio shows and spoken at several conferences. A prolific writer, Springmeier has published several books, most notably, Be Wise As Serpents, The Watchtower and the Masons, The Top 13 Illuminati Bloodlines, The Illuminati Formula Used to Create an Undetectable Total Mind Controlled Slave and Deeper Insights. Although Mr. Springmeier has disseminated a plethora of intriguing information, a veil of mystery surrounds this renowned researcher. Born in Garden City, Kansas on Sept. 24, 1955, Fritz’ previous name was Victor Earl Schoof, which he legally changed in 1987. The most recent name he uses may, in fact, be likened to a puzzle. Several survivors of ritual abuse and mind control have indicated being profoundly triggered after seeing or hearing his pseudonym. Fritz was the name Josef Mengele used while hiding out in South America. "Spring" in occult lingo means new. Meier may be a derivative of the German word meister, which means master. Hence; the new master in the likeness of Josef Mengele. Arthur Alexander was either an Uncle or Grandfather on his mother’s side. One source claims Fritz' birth name is Arthur Alexander, Jr., however, this has not been cross referenced or objectively substantiated. Fritz’ father worked as an agricultural engineer for the United Nations and was assigned to such locations as Nepal, Libya, and Hawaii. After Fritz graduated from high school, he allegedly attended West Point. When Texe Marrs checked into his credentials, he found out there was no record of Fritz (or Victor Schoof) ever attending there. Springmeier became interested in the Jehovah’s Witnesses, even though he supposedly became a Christian during his ‘teen years. While attending Kingdom Hall, he met a woman who he eventually married and had a child together. This marriage did not last long, as his wife filed for divorce on the grounds of child abuse – a charge that was never proven. The custody rights of their young son went to her. Disgruntled over the court decision, Fritz kidnaped the boy and fled to Oregon from the mid-west. He eluded law enforcement for about two years and was finally captured by the FBI. Springmeier was sentenced and served an unspecified amount of time in a federal prison. Some time after his release, he went back to Oregon and became involved in a counter-cult ministry to JW’s called, Witness Inc |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 898510 Australia 04/05/2010 01:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They believe that jesus was the son of god but they do not believe in the trinity. Therefore in their eyes jesus is someone who should be followed but not worshiped as he is not the same being as god. That could be noted as one of the main differences. Although I dont know too much about all this information I have perused a little into their beliefs. If I was ever to become religious I'm not sure if I would become a witness per say but I would find some of their beliefs and logic more accurate. And almost forgot, they also do not believe in hell as they believe it to be a tool used as fear and the original word being "sheol" (off the top of my head)meaning just "grave" or hole in the ground. Kinda more appealing to people who believe that god would be a loving being not one who puts his children in a burning furnace for all eternity.. especially those who do the right thing such as Buddhist and those belonging to other religions but chose the wrong number in a magical religious lottery. |

If I desired to know, I would go to their church and ask. My home is my sanctuary. +1 yeah, they really need to find another way to preach. maybe just leave invites to their church at people's houses or just hang out on the streets to preach. the problem is they are protected by freedom of speech and have kept it open for everyone. freedom of religion and freedom of speech go hand in hand. if one goes the other one goes also. people should just put no religious soliciting signs instead of no soliciting because they don't believe they are selling anything. or just write no JW's/Mormons etc and stick it near the doorbell. they will leave then. |
