Cali/Mexico quake has had hundreds, and they are still going on. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. "...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." I John 1:7 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 And this is the record, that God hath given |

Quoting: TatsuyaLooks like we may get our doom boys. expect denial until the very end. people will believe anything before accepting that the only constant in the universe is CHANGE. in fact, the only type of evolution that is worth talking about is the one that happens in giant leaps. have you noticed that the only events worth remembering in your life are those when there was huge change, either positive or negative? |

Actually in my case, the small events had a much bigger impact, but yeah in general your right. Whos next, New Madrid fault line? I hope not, I live near that one! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 823279Trust me you don't want any news about that one, they claim it's a dead supervolcano, but i'd say that's unlikely, there are a ton of hotsprings in the area around that fault, and something is heating them up. Anonymous Coward User ID: 936713 Australia 04/07/2010 08:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Crazy. We are all excitedly discussing this quake and Indonesia's own online newspaper has it as a low level story, on the same day that it happened. The silliest thing about this article is that it states that the experts there thought they wouldn't have many more quakes after the big tsunami's. They also say it was a new kind of quake but don't elaborate on that. Wednesday's Aceh quake caused by fractures in Mentawai: Expert The Jakarta Post , Jakarta | Wed, 04/07/2010 4:46 PM | National An earthquake expert of Andalas University in Padang, West Sumatra, said that the 7.2-magnitude earthquake which hit Simeulue, Aceh, on Wednesday morning was believed to have been caused by plate fractures around Mentawai Islands of the western coast of Sumatra. It was a new earthquake type. The disaster once again shows that earthquakes remain unpredictable, Badrul Kamal said in Padang as quoted by Antara. Badrul said that most experts had thought that Sumatra would be free from more quakes after the 8.7-magnitude quake in Nias in 2005 and 9.2-magnitude in Aceh in the previous year. Were not secure yet [from the quake]. There are always possibilities a disaster may occur in West Sumatra, although the chance is small, he added. |
