Centipede In My Bed!!!!!!!!

I've never been stung by one. Does it feel like a bee sting? They're pretty common here but don't get too large, millipedes on the other hand get huge.

Felt like a needle - he got me on the shoulder.

I know people who've been stung in much worse places. Kid I know had one crawl into his pants and I think you can guess the rest.

This is the first time in the 9 years I've lived here that I've been stung.

Starting to swell and burn now but I've had hornet and wasp stings that were worse.

Just hard to go to sleep knowing it's nearby abd still alive. They're really hard to kill too - when you cut them in pieces, each segment starts running around on it's own. Ugh!

Go to a hotel! There might be a nest of them.

I would friken MOVE out over something like that!

LOL! I'm in Hawaii - they're everywhere here (even fancy hotels) - especially when it's been raining alot. I've killed many of them - this is just my first sting. Blowtorches take care of them nicely. :)

No that would be me. Steaming hellhole Florida. I saw a tiny scorpion on the floor when we first moved here and I wanted to leave forever. I couldn't imagine seeing a lot of centipedes. I would freaked out.

We've got those too and giant cane spiders.

The one in my bed wasn't that big - maybe about 4 inches by the size of the marks on my shoulder. They do get over a foot long though.
