NOT floaters.... Quoting: infinitymindbox 938665 Seriously i couldn't believe your post when i saw it i have the same, so much i went to have my eyes checked everything come back great better eyesight than the average person it seems. Anonymous Coward User ID: 12088799 United Kingdom 03/07/2012 04:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | See an opthamologist. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 497757Sounds like a detaching retina or other disease of the eye. That's exactly what it is. That's the early warning sign of a detaching retina. It happened to me. See an opthamologist IMMEDIATELY! That's nonsense. It's not what most of us are talking about, at all. Fucking douchebag isn't he. Reminds me of when i look up on google some symptoms i have a headache !!!!ITS TUMOR!!!! I already said i see the same thing not like spider webs though... and i got my eyes tested specifically for it and they said there is nothing wrong like they dilated my pupils to look in my eyeballs with a microscope, i had some floaters and they said its when old jelly brakes off and is absorbed by the eye as new jelly forms, it typical for my age supposedly. My floaters aren't bad i am super critical. |

Not like floaters in the human eye, but they look like they are moving .....all on thier own accord, and my eye can follow them. I have never seen anything like this before....EVER. They are all ove the sky. Quoting: Infinitymindbox 938665 I saw the same thing in some clouds last night, thought it was just my eyes... " Sonny Liston is nothing. The man can't talk. Some kind of energy or something. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 936228 yeo sparkles moving in space and colliding one with another you can easily see them when you are in an airplane but you can see in other conditions too. I also see tiny things coming down when in close spaces. they are dark and come down straight floaters are all different thing |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16174678 Canada 07/02/2012 01:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've seen them for as long as i can remember. Sometimes inside the house if its bright enough. They appear and fly around like whisps. I actually went to the doctor about it and she had no idea what I was talking about, said it was floaters but I diagree because I can distinguish them from the lights. Floaters move with my eyeballs, the lights do not. A friend of mine can see them as well, we were actually talking about them a couple weeks ago. He was the first person I've known to see them as well. |

She hinted at that if anyone see's this it’s their retina detaching and must be checked or I could go blind... |

PseudoSarcasm User ID: 17217359 Australia 12/16/2012 03:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi, I've seen the specks that are being discussed, and my theory is that it is some sort of radiation that is picked up by our eyes. If you've seen a few docos about the space missions, you might've heard about astronauts seeing lights like that. That is why you only see them when you look at the sky and not at any ol' light source. I could be incorrect, but I have found this a solution that seems the most logical. I try to keep my mind open, but reasonable and for this particular phenomena, my views are pretty much purely scientific. Hope this helps. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21160675 United States 12/16/2012 03:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "What are you actually seeing? Are these UFO's? Some strange kind of bird migrations? No, the spots you are seeing are actually inside your eyes. You are seeing white blood cells moving through the blood vessels at the back of your eye. At the back of your eye is your retina. This contains the light sensitive cells that let you see. Tiny blood vessels bring nutrients and oxygen to the cells of the retina. Normally you don't see these vessels, but when you are staring at the blue sky there is nothing else for your eyes to focus on. You don't see the smaller red blood cells, but the white cells are large enough for you to see. The pathways that they are following are the tiny vessels that carry your blood. Some medical researchers are using this as a way to do quick, easy white cell counts for patients with immune system problems. Patients can learn to compare the number of spots that they see with charts, to estimate their white cell count. This helps them avoid taking frequent blood samples. As someone that has a phobia about needles, this sounds like a wonderful idea to me. " [link to www.scienceforums.net] |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 12502173 United States 12/16/2012 03:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Texas. When I first saw it I thought it was so strange I tried searching on google about it with no luck. Glad it's not just me. I've had a small floater since childhood. Totally different. I have good eyesight. It's like a million tiny particles shimmering around like a fine dust. But almost more like static because of how it moves around at random vs just falling. My guess was protons. Weird. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 8625642 United States 12/16/2012 03:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK I found the answer. You are seeing the larger white blood cells in the capillaries in your eyes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21160675 "What are you actually seeing? Are these UFO's? Some strange kind of bird migrations? Its so vivid....congrats to the OP for having more sensitive vision. [link to en.wikipedia.org] "The blue field entoptic phenomenon or Scheerer's phenomenon (after the German ophthalmologist Richard Scheerer, who first drew clinical attention to it in 1924[1]) is the appearance of tiny bright dots (nicknamed blue-sky sprites) moving quickly along squiggly lines in the visual field, especially when looking into bright blue light such as the sky.[2] The dots are short-lived, visible for a second or less, and traveling short distances along seemingly random, curvy paths. Some of them follow the same path as predecessors. The dots may be elongated along the path like tiny worms. The dots appear in the central field of view, within 10 to 15 degrees from the fixation point.[3] The left and right eye see different dots; someone looking with both eyes sees a mixture. Most people are able to see this phenomenon. However, it is rather weak, and many people don’t notice it until asked to pay attention." |
dgjba User ID: 32583730 United States 01/19/2013 12:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I came across this thread while trying to find an explanation for my son on why we see tiny specs of light like stars in space, when we rub our eyes . I found our answer somewhere else but kept reading this tread out of curiosity. I can't get a handle on what you all are trying to describe. Are these specs off in the distance or near you? do they appear as specs of light or look like dust particles in the air caught by the eye because of sunlight? some of your descriptions sound like painless migraines, some sound like dust particles, some like floaters. i am a strong believer in scientific explanations. however, i have a pretty intact spiritual side and believe in a higher power. i accept the fact there are things that have no scientific explanation.at least science as we have come to define it. I truly believe there are some things we are not meant to understand. I'm just not sure yet that whats being described in this thread is one of those things. i'm not saying its not either. I just wish i could get a clearer understanding of what is trying to be described. i am very curious. |

My husband and I can see the same ones at the same time. We can actually point to certain ones that appear bigger and brighter...easiest to see when you are on a plane looking out a window. THEY LOOK LIKE STARS BUT ARE MOVING. SOME SO TINY YOU CAN BARELY SEE THEM. THEY ALL GO IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. I DON'T THINK SATELLITES GO THAT FAST. I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT. BUT 1 I SAW WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE SO THAT DEFINITLY WASN'T A SATELLITE. THE COOLEST 1 SO FAR NATURALLY, LIKE THE OTHERS LOOKED LIKE A STAR MOVING KIND OF SLOW BUT THEN IT STOPPED & JUST SAT THERE LOOKING LIKE A STAR. IT DIDN'T MOVE AGAIN. PRETTY COOL. MAKES YOU WONDER. DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE OTHER PEOPLE. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I SEE THEM TOO. |

I haven't a clue I just wanna know why I can see em better WITHOUT my glasses XD also I live in texas :) |
