California witnesses are reporting a cigar-shaped object about 100 feet in length that “just barely” cleared the top of nearby buildings on April 6, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The witnesses said they first heard “what sounded like the drone of engines” and looked up to see the object.
“The object was about 100 feet in length and had steady red lights on the bottom of it,” the witness stated. “The lights were rectangular in shape, and there were four along the bottom length of the object. It moved rather slowly across the sky from East to West, it seems to take a long time for it to fly past us.”
The reporting witness said it is unusual for air traffic to be in that area.
“It is very rare when a plane flies over our 15 story apartment building, and then it’s typically only a small plane or helicopter.”
No town name was listed in the public portion of the testimony. On March 28, 2010, the UFO Examiner reported on a cigar-shaped UFO over Blue Lake, CA, where the witness also reports sound in Cigar-shaped UFO 50 feet over Blue Lake, CA home emits buzzing noise.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If California MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
CA, April 6, 2010 – Cigar Shape object with red lights along the bottom. MUFON Case # 22688.
We were sitting in the hot tub by our apartment in the city, when we heard what sounded like the drone of engines. We looked up and saw a cigar shaped object just barely clearing the top of the buildings.
The object was about 100 feet in length and had steady red lights on the bottom of it. The lights were rectangular in shape, and there were four along the bottom length of the object. It moved rather slowly across the sky from East to West, it seems to take a long time for it to fly past us.
It is very rare when a plane flies over our 15 story apartment building, and then it’s typically only a small plane or helicopter.
We can see to the West of us aircraft approaching the Sacramento airport, however, they typically are traveling north. The object that we saw would have flown right into the flight pattern of approaching planes at the airport. After the object got a couple of miles past us, we could no longer see it, as the buildings and trees blocked our sight.
