**Earthquake in china 7.1.- 400 died & 10000 injured** Updated

The 3 Gorges dam is on the other end of the river.... thousands of km away - but - let´s see. Still odd.

according to chinese news agency Xinhua magnitude was 7.1 and USGS says 6.9.... just for the statistics

Bild german news paper has a local there who says death toll will rise to more than thousand because a lot of buildings collapsed!

Must of had something to do with this.....

The prophesy about the failed dam in China was based on an alleged vision and was also linked to Walter Cronkite's death (maybe that will help in locating the thread).

It was speculated to be referring to 3 Gorges Dam and would be the first major event in a string of cataclysmic earth changes.

There was also a time frame given that the failed dam incident would occur within. Does anyone remember the time frame that was given?

Has this quake caused a crack in a dam? Or was that just someone's inquiry?

Well this is CNN... I wouldn't exactly be expect them be honest. They wouldn't want to frighten the sheeple.
It is possible that what this guys says is exactly correct. However, it is also just as likely that it's a pact of lies. You really can't take anything from CNN at face value.

I think scientists are skeptical too. If you listen to him carefully, he isnt as categorical as many people here who say "stop been paranoid, everything is as usual!"
I mean he seems to value his words very carefully.

The distance between this earthquake and the Three Gorges Dam is way to large for the quake to have caused any damage to the dam. (Over 1,600km)

USGS has been downgrading quakes a lot lately. Some have even been repealed from their website entirely.

I m afraid this is for the future statistics. So when we count the 7+ quakes of 2010, we probably have to add some 6.8s and 6.9s as well.
