Detox Herbal Tea Yarrow Tones the blood vessels and helps you purge toxins by sweating them out. The herb tea has also been used in the past for stimulating appetite, helping stomach cramps, flatulence, gastritis, enteritis, gallbladder and liver problems and internal haemorrhage - particularly of the lungs. It’s effect is described as ’diaphoretic’, causing the dilation of surface capillaries and helping poor circulation. The promotion of sweating can be useful for fevers and colds. mercury2 User ID: 106069 United States 05/11/2010 07:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow MO, you have a lot, way more than me. I have, from memory here, peppermint, chamomile, red clover, licorice, anise seed, star anise, sage, horehound, nettle, dandelion, siberian ginseng, off the top of my head. Also green and black tea. I am out of ginger which is the one I would use the most. Got all these from San Francisco Herb, [link to www.sfherb.com] I also get essential oils and dehydrated vegetables from them. A really good book about herb tea is called "Healing Herbal Teas", by Brigitte Mars, that author is from memory, not sure it's correct, she has some other really good books that I would like to have. I recommend the one on teas. I also keep large quantities of culinary herbs around and use them very liberally in all my cooking. Rosemary, sage, thyme, parsley, garlic, chives, cayenne, celery seed, oregano, etc etc etc. They all have medicinal qualities and when you buy them cheap in bulk you don't have to be stingy with them. There is a book called "The Magic Teaspoon" about the medicinal qualities of culinary herbs and spices. |
