Hm, in that case, does the jetstream-powered layer of invisible particles specifically dangerous for jet engines spreads evenly over all of Europe, while the...ahem...visible one stays more concentrated?
Difficult shit, one can easily see how these myths and misunderstandings arise.

Do I think they over reacted? Yah, probably. But, better to be safe than sorry, yes? I would imagine the next time something like this arises the reaction may be a little different.
