Thats why I seldom watch TV anymore. Most people at the top that are allowed to have shows are liars, thieves, perverts, prostitutes, selfish, self serving, egotistical, dirt bags, not worth a second of my time.

I'm no fan of Oprah but this seems more like a smear campaign.

It's the same issue with a military command hierarchy. On the one hand people will argue it's necessary for freedom. On the other hand Machiavelli suggests that power and freedom aren't natural bedfellows. You create armies to control your domestic population and having enemies to fight is justification for that.

I wouldn't trust anything written by Kitty Kelly. She picks a celebrity and manufactures the dirt to sell the book.

Listened to Gayle kings show on satellite a couple times just to see what she talked about, and i swear, you'd have thought it was Orpah talking, same sayings, same talk, just a replica of Orpah......she wants to be ORPAH!
Not tellin me those two aren't lovers....poor Stedmond, kicked to the curb after using him for years to look like she wasn't a lesbo!

And the crap she passes off on her audience as "self-help," is just designed to keep them where they are. Yup, they'll just keep wishing for things - as if that's going to help anything.

Two concrete things bothered me about her story about abuse and "helping" little girls.

1. She said she visited home and that her father's friend - the one who raped her - was there. Now she didn't demand he leave the home or anything. She said she made them both breakfast???? And her father kept saying, "I don't know what went on between you two."

Something about that sounds so disingenuous. Yes, if she had been a very young girl, she may not have demanded respect and that the man be put out of the house, but when she's an adult and has billions and does stories on victim's standing up for their rights? She can't now say to her dad that this guy raped me and I do not want him in the house or anywhere around me! And where are the charges? She never tried to have him arrested. Why? Because he's friends with her father? Wouldn't that be an even better reason to get him arrested? Or got a restraining order? Or something?

2. That school she built. She goes to all this trouble - overspending on this showplace for the best and brightest "little girls," and they get abused by a "lesbian" on her watch? And no one knows what happened? The story was told to her by these young victims, but does anyone know what they said?

It would be highly unusual for one woman (headmistress) to act like a serial pedophile and abuse many little girls like this. Women usually have different MO's. I'm not saying it's impossible, but that school with the ridiculous overspending on luxuries and isolation of those girls from their families bothered me. The first thing someone does when they want someone abused is cut them off from their families. Plus the fact, these families were complicit and instrument in WANTING their children to get an education! Otherwise they wouldn't have been allowed to attend the school. They were good families, so why was Oprah cutting them off from seeing or speaking to their beloved families?

Makes no sense.

Will be interesting to see what comes out in the trial. The headmistress is suing her for slander and right now, the big fat former drug addict is being forced to testify. No doubt they'll be a gag order due to her bribing someone.

What's so shocking about a lesbian talk show host? Next she'll come out with a "shocking" book about Ellen Degeneres? Melissa Etheridge? Madonna? Or any of the other thousands of lesbians in the porn industry or with videos on youtube? Who the heck finds lesbians shocking in this day and age? As if you don't see it everyday?

O no, not again! Oprah's school rocked by second sex scandal in 2 years

Oprah Winfrey's elite boarding school for girls in South Africa has been rocked by its second sex scandal in fewer than two years.

Seven students were suspended last week for sexually harassing their schoolmates, the "Afrikaans on Sunday" newspaper reported.

One 15-year-old was accused of preying on another pupil and forcing other girls to lie to investigators about it, the paper reported.

"You have been found guilty of physical contact of a sexual nature with another pupil on campus, harassment, bullying other girls on campus and of being dishonest by not telling investigators the whole truth," a letter to her parents read.

Other girls were caught fondling each other or trying to get other girls to join them in lesbian liasons, the paper reported.

Oprah's spokesperson, Lisa Halliday, confirmed the girls had been suspended from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy School for Girls - but gave few details.

"It is because they contravened the school's code of conduct," she said. "We regard the incident as confidential."

Winfrey called it the proudest moment of her life when she opened the $46 million school near Johannesburg in January 2007 to help high achieving but poor South African girls.

Nelson Mandela dedicated the school and luminaries ranging from songbirds Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige to filmmaker Spike Lee and actor Sidney Poitier attended the opening.

The school, which aims to house 450 girls in grades 7 through 12 by 2011, offered free tuition, books and uniforms, as well as room and board.

In return, the girls were required to follow the rules.

Ten months later, Winfrey sobbed uncontrollably after 15 girls reported they had been sexually abused by a matron who was supposed to be watching over them.

The talk show queen said the sex abuse charges hit her especially hard because she was raped and molested by a cousin, uncle and family friend when she was 9.

"I am a mama bear when it comes to protecting my children," she said at the time.
"These girls are like my children. That's not just rhetoric for me. I take their futures and the possibility for what their futures hold very seriously."

Dorm matron Virginia Tiny Makgobo, 27, was charged with indecent assault, common assault, soliciting a minor to perform an indecent act and verbal abuse of girls at the school. She denies the charges and is due back in court on June 1.

Vowing to "clean house," Winfrey also fired the school's headmistress and announced she would hand out cell phones - with her number on speed dial - to each student.

It was not clear if any students used their phones to report the latest outrage.
