The Angel 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Iīm sure there is a way to control them...give me some time and weīll get there, unless you guys let this thread die. But you may wish to start off right now by keeping a dream journal. As soon as you wake up write your dreams down in a journal...then later you can analyze them and discover what kind of dreams you are having and even research the symbolism in them. They canīt be any worse than mine. |

The Angel 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay, letīs travel down the rabbit hole a bit further. If you have a deck of tarot cards then this next exercise is great. If not you can use Biblical Scripture, Islamic Scripture, Hindu Scripture, etc. Tarot works best, though, because of the flash card aspect of them. First you want to remove the 22 cards of the Major Arcana. The Major Arcana are the 22 cards numbered from 0 to 21 that are not part of the four suits (the suits vary from deck to deck but are generally cups, wands, swords, and pentacles). From the 22 cards remove the cards numbered 6, 7, 10, 13, 15, and 18 and place them with the rest of the deck. Keep the remaining cards of the Major Arcana with you and perform the relaxation ritual posted above. After completing the relaxation ritual take the 16 cards that you kept out of the deck and mix them up (shuffle) in any way you wish until you feel the need to stop. Select any one card and stare at the picture for no longer than 3 minutes. Take three deep breaths and the Tarot contemplation exercise is complete. Record the card name and number in your magickal journal. Also write down any feelings, sensations or ideas you receive while contemplating the cards. |

The North and South Nodes of the Moon were also assigned planetary values which is the points where her orbit touched during that of the Ecliptic. These were named . Caput Draconis - Head of the Dragon and . Cauda Draconis - Tail of the Dragon Since the discovery of Neptune and Uranus or Herschel, these two terms have been partially replaced. The Old Planets are: Saturn Jupiter Mars Sol Venus Mercury and Luna, The Moon. |
Daniel 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | {{{STEP ONE: Sit or lay in a place where you will not be disturbed for at least five minutes. Remember to unplug the telephone. Get comfortable. If you are sitting,}}} Best for beginners - is muscle tension - then relax. Tense muscles for count of 10 - then relax RIGHT -Toes, foot, ankle, lower leg, calf, knee, thigh, buttock, then LEFT Etc. Etc. This is MOST effective because it retrains the Brain to Muscle path. After a Month or so of this - other methods can be used which are quicker. Daniel PS - At one time I trained myself to fall asleep in 10 Seconds - For REAL. Daniel |
The Angel 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That is some good advice Daniel. The Hebrew Alphabet represents both letters and numbers. Each letter has a corresponding number and also a meaning. Five of the letters have different shapes when written at the end of a word and also a different number. Mem (final) is distinguished by being the only oblong letter. The other four finals - Kaph, Nun, Pe, and Tzaddi have tails that should extend below the line much like an English lower case y, g, and j. Both Hebrew and Chaldee letters are written from right to left. The Qabalists refer to the highest and most abstract ideas as the Emanations of Deity or Sephiroth. There are ten of them and each one corresponds to one of the ten points on The Tree of Life. They are: 1. Kether - K-Th-R = The Crown 2. Chokmah - Ch-K-M-H = Wisdom 3. Binah - B-I-N-H = Understanding 4. Chesed - Ch-S-D = Mercy 5. Geburah - G-B-U-R-H = Severity 6. Tipareth - Th-Ph-A-R-Th = Beauty 7. Netzach - N-Ts-Ch = Victory 8. Hod - H-O-D = Glory 9. Yesod - Y-S-O-D = The Foundation 10. Malkuth - M-L-K-U-Th = The Kingdom The Dagesh or the pointers which represent vowel sounds are not given. It didnīt come about until later in an effort to standardize pronunciation in Hebrew. There are 22 letters in all and as mentioned above each one corresponds with one of the Major Arcana and thus one of the paths on the tree of life. Their Power, Value, Name and Meaning are given below. Power Value Name Meaning A 1 Aleph Ox B,V 2 Beth House G,Gh 3 Gimel Camel D,Dh 4 Daleth Door H 5 He Window O,U,V 6 Vau Pin or Hook Z 7 Zayin Sword or Armor Ch 8 Cheth Fence, Enclosure T 9 Teth Snake I,Y 10 Yod Hand K,Kh 20,500 Kaph Fist L 30 Lamed Ox Goad M 40,600 Mem Water N 50,700 Nun Fish S 60 Samekh Prop Aa,Ngh 70 Ayin Eye P,Ph 80,800 Pe Mouth Tz 90,900 Tzaddi Fish-hook Q 100 Qoph Ear.Back of head R 200 Resh Head S,Sh 300 Shin Tooth T,Th 400 Tau Cross |
The Angel 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Following text taken from The Golden Dawn by Israel Regardie p. 105. Meditation No. 1 Let the Neophyte consider a point as defined in mathematics - having position but no magnitude - and let him note the ideas to which this gives rise. Concentrating their facilities on this, as a focus, let him endeavour to realise the immanance of the Divine throughout Nature, in all her respects Begin by finding a position, balanced, but sufficiently comfortable. Breathe rhythmically until the body is still and the mind quiet. Keep this state for a few minutes at first - and for longer as you get more used to preventing the mind from wandering. Think now of the subject for meditation in a general way - then choose out one thought or image and follow that to its conclusion. The simplest rhythm for the beginner is the Fourfold Breath. 1. Empty the lungs and remain thus while counting 4. 2. Inhale, counting 4 so that you can feel filled with breath to the throat. 3. Hold this breath wile counting 4. 4. Exhale, counting 4 till the lungs are empty. This should be practised, counting slowly or quickly till you obtain a rhythm that suits you - one that is comforting and stilling. Having attained this, count the breath thus for two or three minutes, till you feel quiet, and then proceed with the meditation. |
