Unemployment Insurance Claims still running 2 MILLION A MONTH.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY ALL THE TALK OF RECOVERY. THE WEEKLY UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE CLAIMS ARE RUNNING HALF A MILLION NEW APPLICANTS A WEEK, AND THAT AVERAGES TO TWO MILLION A MONTH. WE ARE IN AN ONGOING DEPRESSION THAT IS GETTING WORSE, NOT BETTER.

UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WEEKLY CLAIMS REPORT

SEASONALLY ADJUSTED DATA

In the week ending April 17, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 456,000, a decrease of 24,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 480,000. The 4-week moving average was 460,250, an increase of 2,750 from the previous week's revised average of 457,500.

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 3.6 percent for the week ending April 10, a decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week's revised rate of 3.7 percent.

The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending April 10 was 4,646,000, a decrease of 40,000 from the preceding week's revised level of 4,686,000. The 4-week moving average was 4,643,750, a decrease of 5,500 from the preceding week's revised average of 4,649,250.

The fiscal year-to-date average of seasonally adjusted weekly insured unemployment, which corresponds to the appropriated AWIU trigger, was 5.202 million.

UNADJUSTED DATA

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 431,740 in the week ending April 17

Re: Unemployment Insurance Claims still running 2 MILLION A MONTH.
REMEMBER, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION LIES AND LIES AND LIES TO YOU AND HAS PEOPLE BELIEVING THAT UNEMPLOYMENT IS A LAGGING INDICATOR. THEY REPEATEDLY REMIND YOU THAT UNEMPLOYMENT IS THE LAST THING TO IMPROVE DURING A DEPRESSION OR RECESSION.

THAT IS TOTAL BULLSHIT WHEN YOU CONSIDER OUR ECONOMY.

It applies to Manufacturing/Industrial Production. When a company is coming back from a downturn, it first starts giving the employees that it then has working more hours of work. When conditions improve enough, it starts hiring.

The only problem with the Obama mantra is that it only applies to manufacturing which is only ten percent of our economy WHEN unemployment is steady state. Right now, Actual Unemployment is increasing.

Our economy is SEVENTY PERCENT service sector. In a service sector economy, increasing unemployment only leads to more increases in unemployment. If you are not working you are less likely to buy hamburgers at McDonald's or Burger King or order pizza.

With all of the outrageous lies of the present administration, people ask how do we know that unemployment is increasing or decreasing? The government make up their silly monthly surveys and lies like hell about them all of the time. If you ever try to add up the numbers, you will always see that they do not compute. To give the impression that things are getting better, they secretly reduce the number of people in the Workforce. They have dropped millions and millions and millions from the workforce to say unemployment is only about ten percent. They also say that jobs "were created." Usually some ridiculous number like 20 thousand or 30 thousand or 40 thousand.

Total bull shit! Net jobs are dropping. The actual workforce should be 30 million more than it presently is listed at. They can not keep on lowering the workforce numbers because the population keeps going up and up every day. Image that, the population keeps going up and the workforce keeps going down and has been doing so for years now. Lies! Lies and more Lies!

Watch the weekly unemployment numbers to see if Unemployment (Real Unemployment, NOT the lies of Obama.) IF the weekly number is about 300,000 or lower, that is a fairly valid number of people who should be changing their jobs per week. When it gets to 350,000 or above, we are losing jobs and more people are eligible for food stamps.

Rough numbers like that are not exact science, but it is a darn good approximation. Actual surveys by the Universities are finding that people who file for Unemployment for the first time are staying out looking for work far longer than in history. That is because we are in a Depression and things are getting worse not recovering as Washington tells you.

Ah I love it when people don't understand how Unemployment works.

Every week they release the figure for the previous 4 weeks.

If we were losing 2 million jobs a month for the last 3 years then we would have 85% unemployment.

You are so grossly stupid it is unbelievable. The weekly unemployment insurance claims are exactly that. The number of people who have lost a job and are filing for unemployment insurance. one week in January 801,000 filed for UI. The next week 650,000 filed. It varies from week to week. It is not the number of permanent jobs lost. It is not an average for four running weeks. That is a different report that is called a running weekly average and is a waste of time.

Ask yourself why you are so damn stupid?

Normally, in any given week about 300,000 to 350,000 people lose their jobs. They might be on UI for twenty to thirty weeks and eventually find a job.

Now that we are in a Depression, 400,000 or more people a week are filing for unemployment insurance (UI) and they are not finding work for a year or longer.

That means the net number of jobs is going down week after week. That is proven by the number of people the corrupt Department of Labor says are in the workforce.

If we were not in this depression the workforce would be 30 million stronger.

Approximately seventy percent of the time the Adjusted number is less than the actual number reported weekly.

The Adjusted numbers are totally bogus and are posted to confuse people.

All you need to do is tabulate the raw weekly (UNADJUSTED) numbers to see what is happening to the economy. Those are the numbers that are reported from the State Unemployment Offices. That paints a realistic picture. Almost anything that has been touched by the Department of Labor is false and deliberately misleading. They want you to be good sheeple and lie to you all of the time.
