I have a Robey plug in model which has a dial you can set to make different concentrations. 80 ppm, make a light yellow brew, so do not be surprised by that color. I have reset the dial and continued the process and made silver the color of ice tea, and I don't know how many ppm that is.

By the way, Gold makes a rose colored liquid. Boil your distilled water first to get some of the oxygen out of it, because oxygen and silver makes tarnish. Tarnish in your solution will settle out on the bottom as black material and it will coat your silver electrodes and must be cleaned off. Just let your silver site overnight and the tarnish will settle to the bottom of your jar.

So the color is determined by the amount, or is it the size/diameter of the particles?

Is it safe to drink the tarnish, should one filter their water before drinking?

Wouldn't the smallest diameter be safest?
