Re: What dying people say
i was with my mom when she died after caregiving for her with cancer she

after 2 days not speaking because of the illness..breathing the death rattle just before dying looked at me and said 'thank you' we had a signal 3 hand squeezes meant i love you she did that..

the most profound moment of my life and beautiful when she died.. she actually waited for my fiancee at the time she was dying and the doorbell rang..i said ---'that's ____ i gotta get the door don't die yet mom..she waited and saw us sitting by her side holding her hands she held on for aminute afte i let him in .. she smiled then died..i saw her last breath and a golden light in an instant flow through her.

her face lit up for a second..

i waited a bit befor calling hospice.. our big main coon cat who was shy the last few days from mom jumped up on the bed purring at her feet..

i poured myself a martini and turned up the willie nelson blues album i played for her earlier..

the priest came to give a final blessing (and it was storming like crazy with hail)

the hospice guy came and pronounce time of death because you need a professional to call death ;)

one thing he said to me was ' ____ i can tell _____was loved by the way she looks..she was cared for...i go out to many death calls and this was a cared for woman..--of course i cried like a baby..of course i would care for my mother!!

before she died..when she could talk she said
'funny i was your mother and now you are my mother in some ways'

i said 'Mom you wiped my ass and cared for me..why wouldn;t i do the same for you? I love you Mom'

Neat little explanations like that make things so much simpler, don't they?
When blacks have identity it is called pride.
When indians have identity it is called culture.
When jews have identity it is called history.
When WHITES have identity it is called Racism.

we should stop dying
peace
We get the powers over us that we've earned collectively. Humanity, as a whole, is self-interested, shallow, ignorant, violent and immoral; small wonder, therefore, that our leaders (secret or otherwise) reflect that. You want better leaders, become better people.

How wonderful your mother had the chance to leave this life with you by her side, and knowing she was loved and cared for until this life was over for her. Far too many parents get shuffled into a nursing home, neglected and die among strangers. Sad but true.

You were raised better than that, and you should be very proud of your self. You gave your mother a precious gift. Far more precious than gold.

When you die, your brain releases chemicals. It's like dropping a bunch of acid or smoking some DMT.

You can even get the, basically, same effects from DMT without dying.

Re: What dying people say
When my great grandma on my moms side was dying my father was in the room holding her hand and she was talking to him for about 15 minutes. She used to call him her Jimmy. I was only about 8 or so, right in the middle of a conversation she was having with my dad, she said, JImmy I have to go, my angels is here, and she died, just like that. It freaked me out and my dad still cannot explain it to this day, 25 years later.

A friend of me had a 7 year old child with terminal brain cancer.
The baby's last thing done on this earth was coming out of his coma long enough to reach with outstreached hands toward the celing and smiling really big and excited, and then laid back and died.
A really profound moment in my life and a life changing moment for my friends.

I'm not dying and I've seen those things my whole life.

Probably visual artifacts of the mechanism we use to see: eye, optic nerve, or the brain itself during processing.

Angels or Demons?
Probably not,
but I can't recall ever being dead,
so I'm not one to answer the question.

My wife, however, was dead on the operating table for 5 or so minutes when she was in her early twenties.

She did see a white light like thing...
But it morphed into a large reptilian creature who tried to offer her fame...
She turned down the offer and never saw it again...

Some would say that in such states one is connected on a conscious level with the afterlife. Just because it can be chemically induced does not diminish the metaphysical nature or the reality of the experience.
