You would think that a company that produces anti-virus software wouldn't have let something like this happen. Don't they check this shit before they release it to the public? Anonymous Coward User ID: 772765 Canada 04/23/2010 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | mine was affected, but i used their virtual technician and all is aok now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 950991guess i was lucky ! That is not the only problem. Others had their restore systems unhooked, with more damage requiring re-installations which I just had to do day before yesterday and am still getting stuff back which was added to this computer AFTEr the original software. A big mess. Stuff starting disappearing, like my ability to get on the internet, and my task bar on the bottom disappeared. RAther than waiting for more to disappear, I tried to do a restore to a previous version only to find it disabled and I did get McAfee update saying the restore feature was disabled and no solution to that, I was hoping that was just a little kittens message but it was for real. I am pissed a shit. the only reason I had McAfee on this computer was, that it was a used computer I acquired which had McAfee on it until Oct, and I had planned on at some point shopping other anti virus software. Some GAME is going on, this was NO accident. |

Yes they do, which is WHY it was intentional, so we have to wait until the reason is uncovered. I think MS is part of it to force people to purchase Windows 7 and I like XP, this was/is an XP problem and I do not wish to upgrade to 7 against my will. this is all entirely a planned game and I hope whoever is behind it goes to jail for a very long time |

AVG was no picnic either ! i wish i could live without the internet ! |
