Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
Hey all,

Recently I have become interested of this what is called sungazing, watching the sun with bare eyes. I have started to to do that now and I add few seconds every day, until I reach 44 minutes of sungazing per day, should take about 6-9 months. I try to focus on sunset and sunrise, when the UV levels are lower.

Has anyone went through this practice?

And by doing sungazing im not looking to stop eating food.

Must add that one should do sungazing bare footed on a natural ground, like beach, rock or lawn.

I've read about this - not tried. But, since I live in the north, I guess we've been gazing at the midnight sun without thinking that it could be wise and healty?! ;)

Re: Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
I used to stare at the sun when I was little while riding the bus back and forth from school. I have no vision issues, I don't even wear glasses. However, I never got to the full 45 minutes.
Unfortunately, I cant say if it works or not. I wasn't even aware of sungazing when I used to do it.
However, the Sun is different now than it used to be. It's a lot brighter and more white instead of yellowish white.
I've been thinking about doing this again myself, but I always choose to do something else :(

Re: Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
I would be very careful with this practice. During my youth I have looked into the sun at times myself. Lots of sunsets, but often it was also by accident. In the last years I have noticed some vision problems and now believe I suffer from solar retinopathy.

I do some meditation myself and enjoy the process of doing so, however I believe you can focus your mind on different things than the sun to become enlightened. Obviously the sun is a very powerful source and it is easy to become overwhelmed by it, but please bear in mind that this is still dangerous for your eyes.

(OP do you know anybody that has been doing this for a long time and hasn`t had problems yet?)

If you definetely want to continue this process at least watch out for any vision problems and wear glasses that protect you from the UV-light.

I'll close my eyes and "look" at the sun! It's pretty amazing what you can feel and "see" just doing that!

Now let me get this straight...staring at the sun with your eyes wide open? Sounds damaging to me.

I could see a case where you close your eyes and take in the warmth that a way for a short time.

Re: Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
Sungazers report solar retinopathy - yes, but that is also reversible, says the doctors, takes a year or two.

These people who do sun gazing says that one can stop when have achieved 44 minutes a day. And that sun gazing eventually get's u a better vision.

Im adding seconds daily to my gazing and plan to achieve 44 minutes within 6-9 months. And I'll focus on sunset/sunrise when the UV levels are lower. I would not do sungazing with solar filters like sunglasses.

Why I do this?
I wanna see the effects my self. Of course im looking for body/consciousness/chakra whatever etc cleansing sorta, not that im planning to stop eating. I wanna achieve this skill anyhow. If troubled times are on due, those ready to feast, will make it to the longest.

(I would not eat UN:s codex alimentarius food)

When doing sungazing - never ever have negative thoughts! NEVER!

I have been amazed that I have been able to look directly into the sun but only in the late afternoon.

Isnt it a wonderful experience! The bright ring around the edge is special. I dont know why I like to do it but it reminds me of a movie I watched once when the astronauts were drawn to looking at the sun. The most beautiful sight I have seen in a long time..... except for the time I drove through a rainbow!!!! yep the color was all around me, magic!!!

For practice you should do some arc welding without a shield, to build up your resistance.

My husband and I have been sungazing since November. We love it. We're almost to 22 minutes now. We are vegan as well. At this point we feel strong vibration in our feet afterwards. We believe this indicates a full charge. Food does not taste as good to us anymore. We still get hungry but don't crave food or enjoy it like before.

I did it for a while. I was up to the 16-18 time frame. My eyes got a lot stronger. I could focus faster and bright lights didn't bother me. I'm losing the effects and need to start it again. I never made it to the 44 minute mark so I can't offer anything other than that. I didn't get any bad side effects that i know of either. Check Hiram Ratan Manek. I think that is his name. Also, only do it when the sun is low on the horizon. You can get to much of a good thing.

Thumbs up mate, just make sure you build up time 10 seconds at a time, otherwise shit happens ;)

Just meditate. Use your minds eye. You would have to be an idiot to stare directly at the sun. Whoever told you this was a good idea is a freak. I am assuming you are young and gullible. Good job for seeking the truth, but it is IN YOU.. not in any ritual sun glaring.

Re: Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
I have been doing this for 2.5 months now, slowly increasing my sun gazing time 10 seconds per day. I am at 11 minutes mark now (although I feel my eyes have grown accustomized to the sun and could gaze longer if I wanted too). Defintitely a great practise. It has increased my energy level, mental clarity, reduced hunger, reduced irritability, better control of emotions, and increased awareness and peace. I have also been meditating 2 hours a day, and doing barefoot walking on weekend on the beach during safe hours.

Good luck!

The sun is definitely glaring white these days, i do some sungazing (live in the far north where the angle of incidence is lower) and have watched it shift
frequencies a few times, notably in about 2002. Don't dare gaze much any longer, it's just too intense.

Re: Sungazing - watching the sun - meditating with the sun - eat the sun
Whoever said something is wrong with sungazing, must have never done it, because it is the greatest thing I ever done in my life. I feel good, and better each time. I'm always going to gaze until I'm charged up and don't have to do it anymore. It's been 2 weeks now.

You wont have to worry about vitamins or medicine, and you eat less, because you are completely nourished, and none of this stuff they put in the food will harm you. Plus I take bentonite clay capsules to filter out all impurities and toxins they put i the food these days, andd I drink the magic juices, Pomaganite, Noni, goji berry etc.
