True, they need to make the parents come to school, get their little brat, and let them know that Rotten Robbie won't be allowed back in school if he messes up again. They need to make the parents accountable to teach the kid some values that they should have taught them from day one. Zechariah 12:10 "And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." |

Don't want to be there, fine, you can start your career picking produce in the fields early. Oh, but wait, then they couldn't dose them with government propaganda if all the kids weren't required to be there... Confiscate all the cellphones and video cameras, put them in a bag. Draw 20 names or so and beat them senseless with that bag of electronics. Then they can have their cellphones back. |

If you force people in a prison/daycare (school) for 30-40 hours a week then obviously there will be friction. Why would going to prison/daycare be a right or privilege, sounds like dictatorial agenda. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 895507 United States 04/26/2010 03:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | schools need to bring discipline back and parents need to discipline kids so schools have the backing they need to carry on a decent education. respect on all sides. odd this, anyone else read the article? "The teacher was eventually led to the headmaster's office, where he was observed making 'low howling noises' until the police arrived. As he was led away, Harvey told officers he had killed the boy and added: 'I don't know who I am, this isn't me.' At the police station, he headbutted a TV screen after catching his reflection in the glass. He told officers he felt 'no emotion' whilst carrying out the attack. The court heard the boy, who like the other children in the case cannot be identified, suffered a fractured skull in the attack and has been left with loss of hearing on his right side. Mr Rafferty told the jury that the teacher had 'deliberately armed himself with a lethal weapon' before carrying out the attack. He added: 'It may be suggested by the defence that that classroom footage is indicative of a concerted desire to provoke Mr Harvey but if that is true, and it is up to you to say, provocation is not a defence. 'It is not in dispute that the blows were unlawful, it's never been suggested that he was acting in self defence.' The prosecution alleges he knew what he was doing when he attacked the pupil and it was not a moment when the 'red mist' descended so that he did not know what he was doing." [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] can they use the "red mist" as demon possession defense? isn't that what was used for the axe man in canada? sad for teachers and students now a daze. |

I also doubt it's particularly rare for a teacher to hit a pupil, just usually not to this extreme. |
