Can you put Oil of Oregano in your NOSE?

yeah..i've done that.

i've also taken little blasts (up the nose) of colloidal silver solution when i get a cold to kill the viruses in the nose and sinuses.

oil of oregano (when i feel the first bit of a cold coming on) is one of the many things i immediately hit my body with.

colds for me last a day at the most.

it might burn a bit.

Pretty stingy... I have a small stainless tea pot. I just put a cup of water in there and drop 3-4 drops of oil of oregano in the water - bring to boil.

Just inhale the steam with the oregano mixed in. That gives me relief.

Take a pan and put about a quarter inch of water in it. Put this on a stove at a medium to low heat. When it starts to simmer and steam abundantly add several drops of your oregano and inhale the steam immediately. Close your eyes when you do this. It works very well and would work better if you actually had pure undiluted oil of oregano. Breath it through your nose or through your mouth which ever you feel is the most helpful. Call me in the morning.

The hot water thing has a double advantage. Steam, heat also kills the virus... that's why your system heats up with a fever.

i've done it for the last ten years, the alkaloids in oil of oregano aren't toxic for the body..they have known and studies anti-viral alkaoids in them.

oil of oregano really does work, the alkaloid in there is anti-viral and there's a lot of pharma companies scrambling to make derivatives out of the natural alkaloid. they will probably make some toxic chemical derivative out of it though.


acetone is not good for a bioligical organism at all.

ok put a tablespoon of applecide venigar into 4 tablespoon of water and pour that mixture it into your cleaned palm of your hand and then sniff it up into your nose..then blow your nose real good , then gargle with the rest of the water and appecider venigar venigar in the cup. Yes it burns for a bit it is killing the sinus infection . dirty tooth brushes transfer sore throats over and over.. kissing bring sore throats and other illness including hepatitus meningitis etc ..stop it if u want to stay well. never share comb cloths drinks towels wash cloths clothing beds food etc or loverss

Well I'm legitimately too freaked out to try putting it in my nose so I guess I'll keep doing the tongue thing and hope it works. Unless someone has some convincing info.

I have done that and it burns. What i do now, is put it around the outside of my nose like i would vicks. Dropping Silver up the nose works good to.

I think I'll try one drop in the nose. I'm just goin for it. I'll report back with my findings. Maybe I'll put a drop outside first to test it out.

I've had that brand and believe it is a rip-off. Try 100% pure Now brand. It is so powerful it does need to be cut. But it is better to cut it yourself and know you have the real thing.

The nose? Probably better to use the colloidial silver mister only when absolutely needed.

Do not put oil of oregano on or near your nose. For the love of god. I put a drop on my hand and touched it with my fingertip and put it on my nostril. BAD IDEA TERRIBLE IDEA my nose feels like it's going to burn right off my face.

I was wondering that myself this morning, as I have a cold.

The answer is "yes", barring any factors unique to someone that would council otherwise.

What I did was put 1 drop of "Oreganol" in my one cup neti pot with 1/4 teaspoon of seasalt, added warm water.

It was not unpleasant and did not burn. It remains to be seen if it was of any theraputic use...

Please I just had to share....YES I DID PUT 100% Pure Oregano oil up into my right nostril.I suffer from Chronic sinusitis and ended up with a sever infection, I suffered for 10 weeks, I have been using and learning about essential oils and this was a remedy I read, I took my Q-tip stuck it in boiling water( toxic cotton) Put a drop of Oil on tip and stuck it as far up as i could and keep it there for as long as i could..Now remind u i dripped oil down the side of nose and mouth AND IT WAS PAINFUL..But Not in my sinus!!! Just my skin and mouth, Sinus has been beautiful for two weeks now and still feels GREAT, BUT.. My skin Peeled and opening of Nostril was burned and peeled.I will do that for future,Only I'll be VERY CAREFUL to not touch the skin. WORKS FOR SINUS.I Promise.

My first line of defense for sinusitis. Doesn't burn my nostril. To each his own when it comes to safe remedies.

The OoO Ive got is so strong it burns like hell so strong is it, I wouldnt dare to put drops under my tongue, Had a bit on my lips once which was on the outside of the capsule I had made, it burned like hell for 15 minutes.
