Given the state of the world i can not imagine that it will take 2 more centuries before the Messiah arrives. Therefore i think we can not be in 5770/5773. This is confirmed by the fact that 5773 is based on the assumption that the Israelites remained 210-215 yrs in Egypt. However, the Torah (Exodus...) states that it was 430 yrs and thus we need to make a correction of 220-215 yrs. As a result we're in 5993-5988, meaning the 6000 yrs come to an end during the next decade.
