At least he's not sponging off the state/tax payer. Everything is wrong with that! The thrift stores have raised their prices above what low-income people can afford just because of those e-bay dealers! The dealers are taking advantage of the poor - and that designation now includes a lot of what used to be the middle economic class in America. |

I don't have a problem with that. If I could make $600/wk on Ebay....I'd quit my job too. I get my energy from my inner chi. I be in outer space, but I got inner peace. - Lupe |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 781984 United States 04/30/2010 12:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Goodwill products are for sale to everyone, with no stipulations attached. Once you buy it, it is then yours to do with as you please. Including re-sale it. At least this applies for now. No guarantees once America changes it's name to Amerika. They do not ask for income verification at the front door of Goodwill stores. And yes, the majority of things they sell are clothing articles. So, to make money selling those, I'd imagine you would have to have a good eye for what kinds of clothes are in demand on E-Bay, and then filter through a lot of junk to find the right products. And that sounds like a useful scavenger skill, worthy of compensation. |

Quoting: Earth DaughterWhat did you sell? Clothing? Do people actually want to pay more for used clothing? Some T-shirts. But mostly CD's, video games, books and LP's. I used to go to this flea market and buy LP's for $1 and sell them for $4 or 5. Last Edited by dereistic on 04/30/2010 12:51 PM "And as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention" |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 667248 United States 04/30/2010 12:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's called ingenuity. The Goodwill gets FREE donations from people, if you buy something from anyone and someone wants to buy it from you and pay more, that is called BUSINESS. A way of life. Especially in this day and age and economy. Cheers to your friend and ty for posting the idea for those that are struggling financially right now. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 830974Yeah, you got to be quick though. There's people that attack the garage sales the first minute they open. Those scavengers are pros and have eagle eyes for the good merchandise. Can be dog eat dog.
