Your quite right about how we perceive reality though, the quality of life isn't really subject to our circumstances, but rather our power of mind over emotion, to make something out of nothing, regardless.

i was thinking the same thing, with the oil spill going on, it is agitating the gulf of mexico, and its not knowing when this will be stop. Almost at the same time we are hearing signs near by the sun (about planet x, but could be deeper then that). Come to the lord Jesus Christ, all who are weary and heavy burden for the lord Jesus Christ will give you rest.

God's archangels are already here.

There's only one archangel, Jesus, and yes he is here in the sense he is conducting the global invitation to Jehovah's kingdom to come, since his heavenly enthronement in 1914. "“All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,  teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” Mt28;19

You are right about that however, the disciples asked Jesus " And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet." Mt24:4

Here's another description of mankind's degeneration in the "last days."
"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,  betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires,  always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth." 2Ti3:1
