medfield User ID: 949202 United States 05/03/2010 11:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | depends which path the hurricane took, taking the wrong path sure it could be pretty bad but if it turned at the last second towards southern texas and brought the oil further out to sea/along the coast to that wasteland.......why would that be bad, get this stuff on land and its a bit easier to deal with but most major hurricanes dont come until atleast september/october, the cleanup will still be going on im sure......within a week or two BP should have blocks/dome around the well to transport the oil to awaiting tankers.......but it will be a bit better contained possibly the well even capped by the time any hurricanes threaten JUST REMEMBER: the most efficient way to troll is to provide an infinitely appealing claim with an infinitely small fact and those facts are the difference between science and sensationalism |

Storm surge would cover coastal towns in a layer of oil and the wetlands would be destroyed. June & July historical have almost always had at least one land-falling hurricane on the Gulf states, but that could be anywhere from Tampa to Corpus Christi. It's all going to be a waiting game from here. Sea surface temps are already high across some areas of the Caribbean. |
