Using a nuke to seal the well could be a lot more devastating than many people imagine. Unfortunately, people don't really have a grasp of the magnitude of the force of a nuclear detonation, even a small one. I wouldn't even come close to suggesting a nuclear weapon be used on an underground well, at all and in any way...
