'not having a tradition of' does not mean there came up no individual saying that there was a god and he sent him and everyone should obey him and the rules he wrote.

in every culture such individuals came and passed. however in cultures outside middle east, the tone changes, first, there is no central single god that requires denial of all other gods or beliefs, and there is no claim of some set of rules being valid for eternity. in general either philosophies are conveyed, or some contemporary issues addressed by these individuals. the extent of claims dont extent to eternity.

the oppressive, repressive nature of middle east's endless 'prophets' and the refusal of anything else stems from the need to control - in early days of agriculture there were innumerable gods being worshipped by innumerable local agricultural communities. communities and their gods created groups, which in turn created power centers. any power center was in competition with each other. for a long while those centers attempting to control others had gone the way of accepting others' gods, but at one point in ancient history the 'refuse all gods for this is the only one' strategy came. and with it came bloodshed and repression.

intolerance against any kind of different thought, repression for forcing the same uniform belief and rules all stem from the need for control in early ancient history. this is seen in initial stages of jesus of nazareth's life in the form of 'single god'. but, the irony is, despite jesus of nazareth delivering a much more 'love' centered message, the message was turned to repressive priest-king format after his death. its the nature of those parts. any kind of message turns to repression.

in short, 'there is one god, im his emissary, refuse everything else and obey the rules im telling you' is exclusive to middle east as a lifestyle and philosophy.

This is almost as entertaining as Nostradamus. Every time something happens people try to wrap some vague prophesy around the event and claim it was foretold.
