Simple genuine question..No insults!!
This is a genuine needing to know, wanting to learn question.
So feck off, if you feel the need to insult! (This must be the only forum you need to put that disclaimer)

Anyway, if the oil spill follows the projected path into the Gulf Stream and up the Atlantic into the North Atlantic. How will this effect Marine transport? Seatrucks, cruise ships and even the huge fishing boats of the Atlantic fleet to name a few.

Will they be able to sail/navigate through the very thick oil? Will they be allowed too?

It just came to mind when reading something else. Like the volcanic ash and aircraft would the oil not clog up the innards of a ship?

If ships can navigate around the thickest parts of oil and through the thinest, they can be contained and cleaned once on the otherside of the slick. However all of this is very costly so it is likely not all sea vesels will travel.

Re: Simple genuine question..No insults!!
its a good question

they will worry about flash fire

if it is very patching - not much concern

you can see shipping operating in it now

but I am not real sure what they will do
